Well this is quite interesting. Very different from your St. Patty's story. This writiing sounds much more mature and quite lovely. I loved the last one, which captured the innocence, but this style of writing I like a lot better. |

oh my god! that is so sweet! wow. i can't imagine being married for 60 years. my great-aunt and uncle were for 50. married, i mean. they're so sweet together. are your grandparents anything like that? i think it's so sweet to see older couples. especially if they're dancing. one time, at a fair, there was music playing, and all these older couples got up and started swing dancing. i swear i nearly cried, they all looked so happy together. sorry. important life fact by miss mischief managed. Author Feedback: Yeah, it is pretty sweet. My grandparents are sweet together, but they're both so stubborn that they often annoy each other, but it is still pretty cute. I completely understand what you mean about the whole old people in love making you cry. I was singing at the nursing homes one time and this two really old residents were sitting there hand in hand, smiling happily and listening to us sing. It was all so sweet that I just cried. Okay, yeah, I'm sure you didn't really care about hearing that kinda pointless story, but... |

Author Feedback: It's a real song, sung by the McRaes. They're a southern gospel group that my dad likes and they're coming to my church in about a month. I fell completely in love with this song, and I'm hopefully going to sing it at my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. |

This was wonderfully written so far. I was about to say something about the 1941 thing, but I realized that you did that on purpose. Very good setting, one of my favorites. It's too bad that they lost contact with each other. This is sorta reminicist of "The Notebook." Or any war story...lol. Lovely description. |
