Do you ever write anything happy? At the risk of sounding pretentious, you have a lot of potential as a writer, but I think that you could do with a change of style. It never hurts to try something new in writing. Maybe you could work on a longer fic-- multi-chaptered with a full backstory and progression of character. You're very good at hinting subtly at events past, maybe you could try doing a longer, more involved piece. |
Author Feedback: It's a matter of preference. I don't write anything happy, or not that often, because not much of real life is full of rainbows and butterflies. I try a lot of new things, i just don't write fluff or romance because they make me want to puke. And as far as writing longer stories, i don't have time. I work a full time job 8-5 and most nights i don't get home until 6pm, i spend a little time with my family, talk a little to my friends, and then i have to get sleep. And i started off writing long stories, and i feel that short stories are more evocative at times. |

I thought that this story was really well writen. Though I hate to think about Harry and Ron dying in the Final Battle, the likely hood is high that one will. Preferably Ron for all us Harmonians. Usually, I don't like reading angst, but this story didn't call for tissues, it just made my heart ache for Hermione. The way you have written it, in very short sentences, with very little emotions, makes it all the more realistic. Keep up the excelent writing! |
