I have just finished this wonderful story. I told you that I wouldn't review each chapter but I just had to review the last. This was undoutedly one of the best stories that I have read...and I have read a LOT. It dealt with many of Harry's problems in a very unique and original way. I liked the way that you dealt with Harry's destruction of Voledmort, very different. In whole, I think that this is one of your best works yet...that I have read. I think that, for now, I have a new favorite. Now...which one next.

At the very least, Hermione has found Harry. Now...how will she get him out? Poor Harry, thinking that Hermione is dead. Hope she gets him out soon. Oh yeah, you said that his rescue is in the next chapter. I guess I had better hurry up and read it. Good job. But very sad.

I've read some of your previous stories before and hadn't gotten around to this one because of the length. But, I finally sat myself down and read this and I'm glad I have. I thought some of your other stories were good like Eighth, but Resistance is definitely a masterpiece.

Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, but I like dark pieces, and I loved how even with so much death in the story, they never detracted from each other and were all meaningful. I have to admit that I cried after a few deaths in this story, especially Ron's, which I've only ever done for 1 or 2 other pieces of fanfiction or any books in general really.

Perhaps the darker (and mature) themes are why I seem to like post HBP stories, although I have to admit the horcrux always took me to seem kind of quaint and the vulnerability in separate pieces of the soul leaving the user with only a fraction to use never seemed that well thought out to me , which is why I'm glad you decided to gloss over them in this story. And I must say Resistance is definitely better than DH, since if horcruxes are quaint and convenient, than the deathly hallows are ridiculously so, with an all powerful Elder Wand (the one ring) and a one true invisibility cloak, etc. Resistance is far more meaningful since it focuses more on the ability of one's own magic and ingenuity and that of friendship to overcome rather than everyone trying to use the deathly hallows as a get out of jail free card.

I love the detail of your story and the fullness of the characters, especially Ron and Ginny, who can often fall to the wayside in H/Hr stories. I'm glad that you are continuing to write even after DH, since there seems to be fewer and fewer great H/Hr authors writing well-developed novel length stories. I really think Portkey should have a vote on the best H/Hr fanfiction of all time, print and bind a collection of them including Resistance, and send them to Rowling. She really doesn't know what she's missing from not going H/Hr.

I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
