Fantastic story! I love mysteries. I like fluff, but nothing beats a good plot. I knew that she did it when you said she was looking at Hermione with concentration. Great story! |

Code 187 Murder Death Kill... Demolition Man flashed into my head there for a minute. I know they had to get it from somewhere. *Grins* Maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
I'm really enjoying this story. I like that it's Harry and Hermione getting together, of course, but I love that it's full of plot and I'm dying to see how they get to the bottom of things. |

I think this story has been a brilliant journey, and I am sorry if last chap I was a bit harsh in my review, it's just that I was a bit angry at Persephone for doing that to Hermione, but I kind of admit a powerful villian makes the story much more interesting. |

Thinking about it after the heat of the moment, I remember thinking something wasn't right when Hermione had that headache upon meeting Harry and Persephone for lunch. That should have been a clue...but I still think you made her too powerful... |

So it was Persephone? Somehow, I think you made her a bit of a Mary Sue, with this kind of almost unstoppable mind power of changing memories. And of course, a downright evil bitch, with her plannin to change Harry's memories too, and in the end be with him. More than anything her reasons for this whole ordeal seem a bit weak. I think Hermione should have been able to kick her ass much sooner, too. Practically, she was a puppet in the other witch's hands for the whole chap, completely defenseless, and I don't like it |

So now the question is, who is the Mnemomagus? And why is he/she doing this? |

I wonder who really took the poison, as for the auror badge, maybe Doyle is really involved after all...dunno, he really seems suspicious... |

So someone want Hermione arrested for homicide? Bloody hell...and maybe Doyle is not really involved, just overzealous... |

I knew Doyle and Persephone somehow had something to do with it. I mean, Persephone seemed apologetic and all, so maybe it's just Doyle who's involved, but then, wouldn't she stop her colleague from arresting Hermione? As for who is changing the memories, I dunno, but I guess someone wants to have Hermione's department shut down, for some reason. Maybe her git of a boss? |

Wow! That was brilliant! Fast-paced, logical causes and effects, intriguing storyline.
So I guessed partly correctly, you can't blame me for suspecting Doyle too.
But I have 1 question: What made Persephone confess? Hermione was out so the strongest witness to her guilt can't say anything against her.
Considering that you categorized this fic under Romance/ Mystery, I'd say you are short on the former and long on the latter. But because of the way you framed the story, it's forgivable. You're a very good writer; I admire the way you string words together and the even the way you describe feelings and abstract concepts.
Here's to more fics written by you! |

I started reading this chapter with a feeling of dread but I ended it with a lump in my throat and a sigh of resolution. Hermione may be under a cloud of suspicion but she has Harry and Ron beside her with their unwavering belief in her.
And now, she has Harry with her in a far better, more intimate way. I've always love fics more when Harry declares himself first and doesn't portray a too-daft-to-recognize-his-own-feelings persona. You narrated brilliantly Hermione's strange feeling about the vague and undefined, no going around in circles about their feelings, quick resolution. I'm always a sucker for prolonged Harry-Hermione scenes fluffy scenes, but in this chapter and this story, your quick way works!
It's clear that Doyle isn't Harry and Hermione's ally all right but for him to be the murderer isn't an airtight case. For a while there, you had me wavering about Persephone being a villain because of her actions in Hermione's interrogation but Harry's bout with forgetfulness cast her in more dubious light. And Hermione started getting her memory messed up again right after Bradshaw left, before Persephone left, and before Doyle's interrogation. So now it's a toss-up between Doyle and Persephone. I'm still leaning towards Persephone because she knows where in St. Mungo's she can get hemlock

I suspect someone's messing up with Hermione's memory. But who, why and how? I don't like the way Hermione's boss is treating her, as if she's to blame for Charlotte's "suicide". Mark can have a motive too for wrongdoing if he's crazy enough to think that no one can have Hermione. But I have the strongest gut feeling that Persephone is a villain. Hermione suddenly became light-headed and disoriented when Harry and Persephone arrived at her office. And those witnesses changing their testimonies, Persephone has access to them too.
I had a feeling Adam is the next victim. But who the killer is and how he/she makes it appear a suicide, those I haven't figured out |
| |
Persephone is evil! It's a shame you haven't posted this on HPFF, you would have won Best Plot Twist for sure. |
| |
Hmmm... is it Mark or Persephone in her office, I wonder? I have a bad feeling that one of them or her boss is the next victim!
Fabulous story as always |

|
Fabulous. Not much action in this chapter but I'm sure there will be in the next chapter. |
