Ah, some quality Harry and Hermione holiday fluff! Very nicely done. I've seen that same "now this way, now back that way" dance done with trees myself. Although I'm happy to say I haven't done that with lights. Ron (and other pureblood wizards) really shouldn't be allowed around muggle things without supervision.
