Nice start, so you're just going to tell Hermione's side of the story each year? What happened to 3rd year? And then.. of all people to confide in, why Tonks? Personally.. I think Luna might've been a better choice.. |
Author Feedback: Yup, she's the one telling the story, so it will always be from her vantage point. I like the thought of strating in fourth year, because there's not a whole lot of romance and conflict between characters going on before then. And Tonks is the confidante because she's the only adult who actually cared enough to hear Hermione's take on things instead of just listening to poor, sweetly innocent little Ginny. |

Now I KNOW I'm going to like this. The interplay you have going between Ginny and Hermione is going to be very interesting to watch. I'll just have to make sure I stay clear of any flying hexes.

I love this chapter. I can tell i am going to love this story. The only problem is, its always the really good stories that i have to wait forever for each chapter. I hope it doesn't take too too long for the next chapter... I'm eager to see if Harry and Hermione get in a fight or something. Keep up the writing. |

Hey! Nice story.. "Unique" perspective, but its a different (in a nice way) read from what I'm used to..
Just as a comment though, maybe when you start off the next chapter "everything" shouldnt begin and start with the fourth year alone.. The first three years would be nice too, especially first impressions in the first year etc etc.. Just my ramblings though =)

Interesting beginning! I've read a lot of H/Hr FF and havent seen anything along this sort of track. I think I'm going to like this.
Where may the tale take us I wonder? Soemwhere nice I hope.
One thing, the "No my dear..." line feels a little out of character for Harry. The other thing (okay TWO things), can Harry REALLY make that promise?

'She jumped in surprise but settled down when she realized that it was just Tonks. She had apparated under the tree with Hermione and her long blue hair was in a mess. She concentrated for a moment before changing her hair to a short, spiky purple hairdo. Hermione just looked at her and put her head back on her arms.
“Go away.”
“No, my dear. I'm sorry, I am here to help you.”
“Don't lie. You're here to get onto me for trying to hex Ginny in oblivion.”
“So you were the creator behind that excellent hex?”
Hermione nodded and Tonks smiled. “Well, it was a very well done hex, even if you shouldn't have done it.” She sat down beside Hermione and looked at her with concern filled eyes. “What's wrong, Hermione?”
“Nothing.”
“Must be a whole lot of nothing to cause you to hex your friend into a wall.”
“Ginny's not my friend. I thought she was at one time, but…”
“Sounds like a story that you need to get off your chest.”
“It's really a long story. I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear it.” Hermione looked down, hoping Tonks wasn't noticing her puffy eyelids.
“If it will help you, Hermione, I'm have all the time in the world. You're like a little sister to me, and I care about you and want to know why you've been acting so strangely these past few times I've seen you.”
Hermione gave a deep sigh. “Okay, I'll tell you, but you have to promise me something.”
“Cross my heart and hope to die.”
“Promise that you won't think of me any differently after hearing this.”
“Promise.” '
Re-read and you'll see that Hermione is talking to Tonks, not Harry. Harry saw her moments after she hexed Ginny, but, well, anyways, thanks for reviewing anyways!
