I almost cried at the whole-wanting-to-be-a-wand-maker part! That was just such an awesome notion, wanting to open a little magical universe for the new students. And the whole thing about Harry not being able to hope... because he knew that the people at the job fairs hope rested on his shoulders, and if he didn't kill Voldemort, their hope would be for nothing.
Ugh. It isn't fair that you capture little moments of clarity, like in this story, so well. Everything just... makes sense in your writing.

Now, enough of my gratuitous use of ...'s and -'s. It's a bad habit...

A beautifully written story that has all the markings of a great writer behind it. The characters, plot, and setting are believable, though there is a strong focus on the two characters and everything else blending in the background. This is good, but perhaps a wayward reference to the rest of the universe could have grounded it in more of the setting. As it, this couldd've happened anywhere.

This brought tears to my eyes. I think it was written so brilliantly and it's exactly what I think Hermione represents for Harry... his hope. And what I really loved about this fic was the way you described how Harry thought of their kiss: "...confidence…quiet…measured….never rushed….and quite possibly planned for ages." It's the perfect way to describe H/Hr!

How sweet! This story was very well written, especially for a one-shot. It was more than just Harry and Hermione realizing their love for each other and then finally kissing at the very end of the story. It also seemed very realalistic, which some stories do not have. Though I don't ever remember hearing of a job fair, I feel that Hogwart's would have something of the sort. Also, I feel that Harry and Hermione would have that conversation; it's just something that Hermione would notice, that Harry didn't have hope. Keep up the great writing!

oh... that was fantastic. harry and hermione are just right together in this story. you can just feel that because of this little conversation between the two of them, harry is going to save the world. then you just know that harry and hermione are going to get married and grow old together, so they can spoil their grandkids. you instill this feeling that everything is going to turn out okay, and that is a true gift.

A very good story. Harry really is in a pretty dark place in his life, but fortunatly Hermione is there to offer some hope. Really well done.

This story only solidifies my already high opinion of your writing. You have a way of getting to the heart of what makes Harry and Hermione's relationship so special: their true understanding of each other. They balance and complement each other beautifully.
