Good thing I started clicking on author's names to find their other words. Half of the best ones I've read lately have been because of that, like this one. I know this is a complete one-shot, but might you consider a sequel? It's just rare to find a more original idea in the fandoms anymore, and the religion thing... well, I guess I find it fascinating to learn about what others view on the whole tope (especially when you mix in an opposing subject such as HP).

Nice. I could see anyone falling apart at a death in the family. I like how you show Harry saving Hermione, slowly but surely. I like that she became so unlike herself, but that he didn't mind. I like that he didn't need explanation.
