Don't have Halloween in my country either, damn it (such a wonderfully spooky, eerie, atmospheric night...). Do you know, despite you saying you're still in school, and not having Halloween in your country either, I loved the beginning of this - you really have an underlying talent for "mood setting" (or something!) I was right into the whole Halloween mood (the real one, not the commercial one) as I read this. And the sweet, naturally forming romance and kisses - yum! Great job IP! (Which Island, I wonder?)

This was such an amazing story. It especially resonated with me, because my ideal situation is sitting with my girlfriend under a tree in autumn, holding hands, or holding her in my arms. This was just so amazing. Quite a story.

First, don't even think this was "pointless fluff"! Are you kidding me? This was beautiful! I totally agree with Sabine that your setting was wonderful, you really made us readers become part of the story, I could feel like I was there. I loved the point of view as well, Hermione not speaking, like she was just soaking in all in. And just loving Harry! Gave me goosebumps. I love that you had them falling in love on Halloween and linking it to their first Halloween together. You did a magnificent job on this, believe me! I loved it. Thanks so much for the read.

So many of you are giving wonderful 1 Shot stories that tease us make us ask, "And?" This is truely one of these. I like it yet it leaves me wanting more. Looking forward to reading more from you. I am one of those who are "hooked" on "Aftermath" so holding my breath, waiting for more, I await your next chapters, hopeing that I don't pass out from lack of air first.

Wow. I'm not sure what you think you didn't accomplish with this fic, so let me tell you what I think you did accomplish.

Ahem. (That's me clearing my throat like Ron always does before he does a spell in the movies. hehe)

1. A great, great sense of atmosphere. I can see the moon rising, and the sun burning itself out over the horizon, and hear the leaves whooshing past each other in their travels. I can see the lights starting to turn on in the castle, and hear the voices of the students as they work their way down to the great hall for the feast, which I can smell, almost.

2. A perfect sense of camaraderie between our two heroes. From the way you start with the linked hands, to the way you go back to the kiss in the library, to the loss of Hermione's voice, to the kiss at the end, it's all perfect.

3. The point of view is ideal; I love stories told from Hermione's perspective because it allows me to see the way Harry appears to the people around him, and I like the way Hermione sees him most of all. I can just see Harry looking back at Hermione when he's telling her how he feels, and see the dying sun glinting on his glasses and sort of shading his eyes, and the nervousness in his expression, and it makes me fall in love with him just a little bit more. (In the platonic way a reader loves her favorite character, of course. )

4. But mostly, it's just a really great sense of finality and rightness for a couple I still believe in.
