Yeah, it's off-beam to say the least, but it was written straight after HBP was released and I read *that* interview!! Really I couldn't stand the whole anvil nonsense, so I went looking for a way of sarcastically taking the #### out of it, and this is the result!

Harsh on Ginny? Moi?! Seriously, though, it was meant to be a kind of parody and sarcastic dig at everything wrong with HBP, and incredibly-perfect Ginny-Sue comes into that! I don't think I'd be so harsh if I was writing a 'serious' fic. As far as I'm concerned though, she was fair game from the moment JKR went on about how perfect and equally-matched and compatible she is with Harry!! Especially when all of those traits she went on about in the interview describe Hermione perfectly! (I'm not sure if you've read the interview - if you haven't you won't have a clue what I'm talking about!)

The comment about Hermoine is probably a little over the top, but again, her humour has always struck me as a bit edgy and nasty, and if she felt threatened and jealous of someone in any way, I reckon she'd resort to this kind of tactic!

Yeah, Ginny deserves to have something large drop on her head! The only problem is that she'd end up perfectly fine! Can Ginny-Sue be anything other than perfect?!

So pleased it made your day a bit better - Harry/Hermione has that effect on people I find! A nice slice of pumpkin pie always makes you feel better!

You can probably tell I had a lot of fun writing it! I'd been waiting a good while for my author application to be accepted, so I'd had a lot of time to vent everything about the interview and HBP into the one story!

True, Hermione's exclamation is probably a bit much, but hey, the poor girl had had a bad day! That's my excuse anyway!

It would take a Harmonian to appreciate the symbolism, wouldn't it!? I do like the symbolism in HP, it's just a pity it doesn't seem to mean anything, what with all those obvious anvils floating around!

Book six was completely out of nowhere as far as the ships go. I'm sorry, they can all go on about what was 'obvious' as much as they like, but JKR really had to wreck her characters to get them to fit together, didn't she?! For me, the fact she had to basically massacre Hermione to get her to fit with Ron shows how wrong that ship is, when she would have had to do precisely nothing to get H/Hr to fit together!! And don't get me started on Ginny....

I'm glad you think I got the mix right! I wrote it not long after HBP and the interview, I've just been waiting for my application to be accepted! I was in the mood for a bit of a pick-me-up at that time, and I also wanted an outlet to bash Ginny!

I've got another couple of stories lined up, one's going to be multi-chaptered that I'm planning, and the other's a very angstly one-shot, completely different to this one!
