This was a lovely piece.
I love the banter between Harry and Hermione; truly Harmony in action.
A good job. |

Yay for anvils! Man, I never thought I'd be saying that. Great job. |

That had to be one of the best stories I have ever read!!!! I hate Ginny bloddy sodding Weasley!!! So this story certainly made me feel good!! I just wish she had walked in and saw them kissing, and them blew up or went bald or something like that!!! Well just wanted to say that this story was GREAT!!!

First of all, GREAT TITLE. It's the only reason I read this. I saw it, thought it was wonderfully cheeky, and hoped the fic would live up to it. I was not disappointed, to say the least!
I really truly enjoyed reading this. It left me feeling satisfied (which is extremely rare for me). The story itself flows well and has a nice cyclical structure, which, IMO, is one of the most important things in a good short story.
I loved the familiar banter between Harry and Hermione, and all the little references to both canon and fanon, especially the absurdity that is HBP. I especially loved the little jabs at Ginny Sue and Hermione's comment about Harry and Neville being the only real heroes around (so true!).
Anyway, it was just really really well executed. I rarely find fics that are so completely satisfying, and it was a joy to stumble upon this one! Thank you for sharing this little gem with us.
I also find it funny that some people can't seem to grasp to whole 'anvils' thing, but... c'est la vie, I suppose. |

aww, I love that fic!! its soo cute!!
but what the heck are anvils and what does OBHWF mean? but other than that this would be sumthing to put in the 7th harry potter book. |
Author Feedback: Hi,
Thanks for the review. Glad you liked it!
In normal terms, an anvil is actually a great big block of metal that is used for shaping other pieces of metal. It's taken on a life of its own ever since JKR said there were "anvil sized" hints pointing to R/Hr in her books, basically saying that R/Hr was blatantly obvious and anyone thinking differently was a bit thick. Now it's used, quite rightly, in very sarcastic terms by anyone on Portkey - the very idea that there were HUGE hints pointing to R/Hr and nothing for H/Hr is just ridiculous, so it's become a word of ridicule (as you can see in this fic!)
OBHWF means One Big Happy Weasley Family. It's the term attached to the idea that the ships should be R/Hr and H/G. It's for people deluded enough to think Harry and Hermione could actually last more than five minutes with Ginny and Ron without realising that they had gone permanently insane. |

Main Entry: an·vil
Pronunciation: 'an-v&l
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English anfilt, from Old English; akin to Old High German anafalz anvil; akin to Latin pellere to beat -- more at FELT
1 : a heavy usually steel-faced iron block on which metal is shaped (as by hand hammering)
an anvil is as bib as a cinder block or a tower pc cpu. if you get hit on the head you will be dead. |
Author Feedback: Main Entry: sat-ire
Pronunciation: I think we know how to say it
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin satira etc. etc.
1. A literary work in which human folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit.
2. Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose folly, vice, or stupidity.
Isn't this fascinating stuff? So clever, this typing out of a dictionary lark....
I apologise if you came to this story with absolutely NO context and didn't know that its intention was to poke fun at JKR and her so-called "anvil-sized" hints about R/Hr.
If, however, you did know about that, well I really don't know what to say. I can only shake my head in amazement....... |

This was very very good, I love H/HR together, JK Rowling needs to get her act together and get them together already lol. They work so well together and this was beautifully written. |

Hahaha, excellent.
I loved it, defiant, witty and definitely enjoyable.
Glad that there are others who are so willing to defend H/Hr
Hope to see more fics from you! |
Author Feedback: Hey, thanks for the review! So glad you like it!
Hopefully there won't ever be any shortage of people willing to defend our ship! It will always be the best, no matter what certain authors think!
Thanks again,

LMAO! Oh, i loved it so much! The humor and, of course, the lovely slice of PumpkinPie!! That was perfect. *mutters under breath* thats the only way i'll like those darned anvils!
Love From: Callie |
Author Feedback: Hi Callie!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review - I'm glad you liked it!!
As for the anvils, they're not problems, they're just cleverly-disguised opportunities! All the anvils in the world wouldn't make Ron and Hermione right for each other, no matter what anyone else says!
Thanks again,

really i loved this story and i just have a question...
what DOES-OBHWF mean? |
Author Feedback: Hey, thanks very much for the review - I really appreciate it!
OBHWF means One Big Happy Weasley Family - a riduclously pathetic and sickeningly terrible scenario where R/Hr and H/G sail off into the sunset as part of one big happy family. Needless to say, most people around here, including myself, find it to be the most vomit-inducing parasitic nonsense ever conceived!! |

Excellent story. Bloody well spot on. After reading the sixth book and hearing about the infamous interview about the "anvils" and all the "delusional" people, I was royally ticked off. I went back and re-read books 1-5 specifically looking for anything that was so obvious, I saw absolutly nothing. You did a nice job. Exceptionally good for a first fic.Keep up the good work. As always, H/Hr forever! |
Author Feedback: Hi Hit Wizard,
Thanks for the review!! You are, of course, spot on about the bloody anvils. I *can* actually see the anvils when they're pointed out, but you can put so many different interpretations on them that it's just a joke! All that 'obvious' sexual tension nonsense is exactly that - nonsense. If that's the basis of a solid, long-lasting pairing then I'm the Giant Squid!
Anyway, thanks so much for your kind words! Let them keep their 'obvious' pap - I'm quite happy being delusional if that's the alternative!

That was awesome. I especially loved Ginny the "callous doxy". I can't believe that was your first fanfic. If all new writers were as talented as you then the fandom would be a better place. Keep writing! please... |
Author Feedback: Hey,
Thanks so much for your lovely comments!! Yeah Ginny is a callous doxy isn't she, along with a lot of other rather unpleasant words I can think of but couldn't possibly write on here!
Don't worry I will keep writing! I've got another one-shot that I'll be posting shortly, and a multi-chaptered fic that I'm planning. All completely H/Hr of course!!
So glad you enjoyed reading it. Thanks again!
