Wonderful story, as usual, and of course i wouldn't expect less from you

Well! It's been a while since the big furore of HBP, but reading this took me back to those tumultuous few days between the book release and THE INTERVIEW, where we were all scrambling around trying to hypothesise love potion theories which would explain the demolition of the character known as Hermione Granger. I would have dearly loved to have believed in the love potion theory back then, but for three things - 1) the reaction of Ron to Romilda Vane's *known* love potion was distinctly different to the affection displayed within our the two OBHWF couples; 2) it would require Ginny and/or Ron to be 'evil', something I couldn't see; and 3) If JKR had seriously written things that way, with the romantic couples to be unwound in book 7, it would turn her 'dramatic' series into a sitcom farce, and I couldn't see her deliberately doing that to her magnum opus.

But it was touch and go. (1) could have been explained by differences in love potion types or strengths. I didn't think (2) could be justified ... until now.

In any case, I don't think I've actually read any serious stories embodying the love potion theory until I came across this story, and I very much enjoyed the tale. While it was really an essay guised as one long bit of narrative dialogue it read very well. I'm now going to have to read everything else you've written, if this is an example of the quality of your work.

I'm not quite sure we should take Ginny's words at face value - i.e. that she was doing all this for Hermione, and only chose Harry for herself as a side effect - but I found her words quite impassioned. Lovely description of her best friend, 'the most beautiful person' she's known, who needs to be loved. Maybe coming on too strong for canon - Hermione and Ginny are pals, sure, but super-duper best friends, at least from Ginny's side? - but still nice to read. And you had the Ginny-speak down pat, full of visceral phrases and blunt brute-force idioms. Again, maybe exaggerated from OotP Ginny, but the kernel of such a personality was certainly presented in that book.

A very nice story, leaving me with a lovely warm feeling for the Hermione you have here. I hope she ends up with Harry as she should! Thank you for the story.

one of the best HBP love potion theory fics i've ever read. you have great insight but it still eats my heart thinking about r/hr. i can only hope that JKR is fooling us and book seven plays along your line of thinking.

i actually missed reading this during the felix comp. so i'd like you to know that this would have been my favourite fic. it doesnt character bash, the actions seem plausible and answers a lot of unanswered questions in book six.

just giving yous sum extra ammo...(not that you need it) if you take out the whole h/g relationship in book six, it wont effect the plot what-so-ever, while the harry/cho incident actually effected the plot. the skeeter interview. does that mean anything???

I doubt that will be the opening chapter of book seven regardless of how much I'd want it there. JK has never shown that much depth in the romance department of the books and I'm sure that won't change in the last book. Hopefully, there will be less emphasis on R/Hr development though and more on the plot of the book. In any case, you've got a good start for a book seven fanfic. If you decide to carry it through to finality (with your usual emphasis on the ships and your expert writing), you can count on me to be sailing alongside you, captain.

I am very glad to find that I am not unique or alone in hating Book 6 (HBP). I had thought that the Harry-Ginny thing was absolutely fake. Even the way JKR wrote about them didn't sound natural. I had thought that JKR had gone off her rockers or something.

Wow what a great start. Please please please continue. I hope that you figure out whatever it is that wrong. It's stories like this that keep H/Hr alive. Just remember the anything after Book 7 isn't set in stone yet.

I liked your approach on this. Having Harry discover her brewing the potion was great, and then having her explain everything. The reasons behind the actions are very convincing, and instill hope in my little heart of Harmony. Great job!

The R/Hr relationship, I liked because you made it sincere. I too believe that they DO love each other and that, perhaps in time things will be made right in our little shipper world.

The way it ended was perfect - just paving the way to a possible future.

I'd also like to add...that you've done the impossible. You've actually put Ginny into good light...in my view anyway. I honestly do not like her character much...alright at all, but they way you've written her is very nice.

You've done an oustanding job on this story. It was a pleasant read. Thanks!

Here, here! If this isn't how Ms. Rowling proceeds with the 7th book, it bloody well should be! I humbly agree with all the “clues” you have used from HBP. Even with her interview on Mugglenet, I find your weaving of the “anvils” together into this story a very coherent plot line.

awww....this story made me teary- eyed...well..nice one for ginny..i saw here why she became a gryffindor in the first place.actually, i was thinking that maybe she was a homo..i mean..with the way she describes hermione and all... but i see now that she was just a loyal..i mean a very loyal friend..i think i might just accept this story as an explanation of hermione's ooc'ness throughout the book..btw,speaking of ooc, i think it very ooc in hermione's part to let ginny concoct a potion thats got something to do with harry..thats all...nice fic!!!

And while my heart clamours for at least one more chapter my mind says "perfect". At least the door's open if you ever do decide to continue this in normal chapter form or just do a "final" chapter at the "other end" of the Horcrux quest to wrap it up.

Great great job on this story. JKR's HBP was just horrible. I kind of throught they were given love potion, since Harry's interest in Ginny came out of the blue.
