This is a great start.
Only problems I see with it are:
Fawkes left Hogwarts previously, not to return.
Harry wasn't 'bawling' anytime during the funeral.
Please write more. |
Author Feedback: Hey! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! I'm very glad you liked it! This is a one shot, so there will be no more chapters to this story. It was just a filler of what I thought should be in the book.
About the problems, Fawkes flew away from Hogwarts AFTER the tomb caught on fire. It never said where he flew to, so I had him fly to Harry, the most loyal person to dumbledore. If you read the interview on mugglenet, Fawkes is going to have a story line in book 7. It just doesn't say what it is.
And yes, Harry didn't bawl anytime during the funeral, he also never gave a speech. I had this story be a filler for parts I thought were missing in the book, 1) a speech, and 2) a good grieving period, that though not written in book six, definately happend during sometime in Harry's days for dumbledore. He meant too much to him for it to have not happened.

Although I didn't cry, I could really feel what Harry was saying. You found a way to describe Dumbledore as a person, not as some sort of idol, which is what you were aiming for, right? Either way, you did a very good job. |

And about the speech, I made sure I didn't reveal anything about the prophecy, just cause I knew people would catch thatand be like, YOU CAN'T DO THAT. lol People are too smart here I just said when he tries to kill Voldemort he can't imagine Dumbledore not being there. I think everyone expects him to play some kind of role in defeating Voldemort after he 1) vanished him from life the first time 2) almost every single year at hogwarts voldemort goes out of his way to try and kill harry. I just assumed most people would expect if they want to be rid of Voldemort they have to have Harry involved. Thanks so much for the review. It really means a lot! <3 <3 Erin |
