I liked how you left it, but it leaves me unsettled as well. I don't know why, but that didn't detract from my liking of it in the least!
I do hope that Harry or Hermione, or both will say something about their little adventures across that line from friendship to something more.
It's rather odd that they could snog so intensely and secretly but not act differently towards each other in any way before the War was finished. Then again, we're not always thinking rationally in the face of such stark fates or possibilites.
All I can say is that I *really* like your writing. Mmmmm, yes.

What other scene would I like?! Harry petting Hermione...really.
I love the relationship these guys have here. The fact that Ron can tickle Hermione and then Harry will join in...there aren't many real friendships like that that I've come across. Definitely loved the description of Hermione's breathless giggles and male laughter from Ron's flat to smile about.
I also liked how Harry joked about Hermione becoming much like her pet in the fact that he really was petting her and she was just melting into a nice puddle of Hermionegoo. I LOVED that.

I really liked the scene where you describe Harry looking at the moon through the gossamer curtains and longing for treacle pudding on his tongue. Were you referring to just the dessert or were you referring to the snogging he had with Hermione during the week of the final battle?
Either way its nice.
I LOVED the part also where you describe Muhammed keeping his eyes averted and covered by his fringe, reminding Harry of himself. That was a really nice moment in my opinion because you do a lot of this imagery stuff that's just *awesome*

I really, really like this opening chapter. Chapter 1 is cool because of the scene at the window in the...attic, possibly? Heck I forgot where they were but that was an intense scene and it just kept getting better and better.

Oh I didn't know you had updated! It took you a while, I was checking my review history and saw this one updated, if I hadn't done that I wouldn't have known... I'm a little lost, to be honest with you *looks ashamed* perhaps you could put a little summary at the beginning of each chapter to remind your readers of what happened before, it's a suggestion  |

Author Feedback: Harry was off teaching Aurors in training while Terry was off doing fieldwork--thus Terry's higher ranking. Sorry if that was a bit confusing, but I didn't think it was important enough to explain in this chapter. I might put it up in a later chapter, though, since you've mentioned it.

Wow! I can't believe I never stumbled upon this story before! I must be living under a rock or something. Anyway, I have only good things to say about this fic, but I most especially your witty tone. It's bitingly humorous--just enough not to detract from the plot, etc. Next chapter, here I come! |
