i love this, just like how i love all of your pieces.
As always, your writing is incredible.
i really like how you slowed down the time durin the spell's travel. It adds another dimension.
great job!

Whow, what a story!
First of all, the "plot" is sooo original. After about three years of sailing this ship I often fear that there con be nothing new under the sun of PK. Fics like yours prove me wrong
Secondly, the fic's sub title "A letter to the editor" is so fitting - I wonder why you left it out... |

Excellent! That was an excellent use of a song in a fic... I usually abhor song fics personally. Dumbledore and his stupid plan.. great take on his final moments! |

haha i love it! i love the "good job, idiot!" that made my day. great job! |

Oh dear, what a wicked piece! It should be put into an open letter and sent to JKR; it points out all the weaknesses in HBP, and THE PLAN shows how absurd things actually have become. And it does take about half the text until one begins to suspect that this is really meant in a satirical way. One small thing: you need to watch your tenses, the obvious thing is to use the present throughout, but you keep switching between present and past. |

I love stories that can be read on multiple levels. And you made me feel really sorry for Dumbledore who realized in the end that he was also a puppet dancing to the inflexible constraints of the Plan.
And the quote, "Good job, idiot!" had me chuckling. Have you read the Slightly Skewed Recaps on the Harry Loves Hermione website?
This story managed to be slightly bitter without sinking into complete despondency, and I thought it was a great vehicle for your message. |

B-E-A-utiful! I loved it That was so impresive! You should add it to the competition! Nicely done. |

This was amazing. I really can't describe what I felt during the whole fic. At the first mention of The Plan, my mind immediately went to JKR. I had so much lack of respect for JKR after reading HBP, but thanks to you, I now see things in better light. I saw her in the place of Dumbledore, staring at her story and wondering how The Plan had led her astray and knowing that with so little time left ('that place where all your decisions come together to taunt or inspire you'), no matter how evil The Plan was, she had to stick to it. I could see her not wanting to complicate things and change The Plan... to follow what was 'too long in the making', and the hinting and the laying of clues for Harry to finally piece together.
Everyone places JKR as being like a character in the series, usually Hermione or Ginny, but this fic shows the amazing parallels between her and Dumbledore. Yeah, they were both thought of as all-knowing and all-powerful... And they ended up taking away the people that Harry needed around him most for the sake of The Plan.
This was very wonderfully crafted.

It's strange, but even though I already know how much I love what you write, and every time I get an alert that you posted something I say to myself that I'm about to read a wonderful piece, I still can't help but be surprised.
It has always amazed me the way you understand the characters and how deep you can get into the events and the feelings, giving us a whole new and necessary perspective.
That scene you just describe was the one that had the biggest impact on me (not so much for what it happened, but because of how it happened) and seeing it written like this makes me feel it even more deeper. Dumbledore was a character I really liked (with his flaws and all) and I truly forgot I was reading a fan fiction and actually could see the character, understand his feelings, understand everything. You seem to get in the skin of the characters when you write, and that's something I've seen in so few authors (and I'm not talking about fic authors) that it makes it impossible not to admire your talent.
I particularly liked how you mixed in the moment THE perfect explanation of why we ship Harry and Hermione. Even if you never said anything about them in that way, I can't possibly read that without reconfirming my belief in the strength of the couple.
So, as a reader, a Dumbledore lover and a H/Hr shipper, I thank you deeply.
Loved the last line, and the message in it.
And it's quite weird that while I was reading this, "My Way" started to play in Winamp. That song has a whole new meaning to me now. |

Man !!! This is your most brilliant piece yet. I have read all of your posted stories in fanfiction and has been amazed beyond words at the depth of possibilites you see in JKR's script (BOOKS 1-5). Also, your romance in the previous stories had no parallel in fanfiction.
But this one !!! It captures my feelings about the book six. I can see that this story is actually about JK Rowling and not about Dumbledore. Book 6 had been the very worst of the series in my opinion because of the things you portrayed so very eloquently in your oneshot. What better way to make people think about it without critizing it directly. I am truly amazed by your talent.
I would hope that people like you would remain true to the fanfiction world and keep finding ways to stay interested. Which would give other fans like me who are really frustrated by the mediocrity of the series as it progresses, an opportunity to truly see other interpretations and possibilities.
kudos again !!! |

Very well done. I like how many regrets Dumbledore has. He knows what he did was inadequate for Harry. When Harry realizes Dumbledore's death was part of some plan, he will be as angry as he has ever been. To his thinking, Dumbledore would never abandon him intentionally. Someone has to be there when Harry fights Voldemort. Perhaps Hermione has strayed from her usual role, but everyone will figure things out again. Hopefully, unlike Dumbledore, it won't be in those brief seconds before death. |

@@ I almost thought Dumbledore's death could justify the wrong shippings when I first finished the book. I cried during it, but when I cleared my mind of the old professor's death, I realized how terribly weird the whole book was -especially on the interaction between the trio. It was soo OOC! No idea what JK was thinking.... i think she's probably under the imperious curse herself when she spoke ill of h/hr shippers! but anyways, the 'good job, idiot' was from harryloveshermione.com rite? hahaa I ADORE her site and the slightly skewed caps! Hope she comes back on soon! I wish you luck too! It is a brilliant and revealing fic! I wish I could question JK myself about all the OOC-ness! |

Very interesting and different from your other works. Definitely a realistic take on the events of HBP and Dumbledore's motivations. |

Who's been on HarrylovesHermione.com recently?
Brilliant fic, asks all the questions that needed to be asked about the fallacy that is HBP. Christ, JKR should be hung for that load of tripe.
Anyhow thanks again for a different view on the HBP, it makes a refreshing change. |
