When my mum passed away, I didn't get to say goodbye, too. I didn't get to tell her I love her, because I was living too far away, too caught up with my own life and my own concerns.

Funny how a story can mirror life; except I didn't have a Harry to help me get through my story.

I still love your writing.

Musca...

Can I please... PLEASE... marry your muse? Provided that your muse is a gentleman with deep, luscious green eyes and somewhat dark hair.

I love (again) this one-shot. It's so... poignant. Again, it's the simple sentences that you wrote to deliver this story that grasp my attention. "Our shadows slant across the coffin like so many fingers reaching to grasp it and hold it back." For example.. that sentence. When I read that, all I could think of was the feeling of losing the memory of a person's voice that I was close to.. and how the memory seems to be slipping through my fingers into the forgotten land even though my fingers are clenched together to a fist. Another example of a sentence from this fic that touched me. "All I’m aware of is how your hands sift through the black soil, caressing, pleading." Simple yea? but THAT in a reader's mind is a potent sentence.. well to me at least. It just emphasize the feeling of.. well "lost" for lack of a better word.

And you know what I truly admire of your writing skill? It's the effortless way you can connect words and strings something so ordinary to enhance your plot/story. I like your works.

Well gotta go... I have a FIFA game to watch..

Author Feedback: Ahh, you don't want to marry my muse...he or she (I haven't decided the gender yet, it's quite nebulous) is quite fickle and moody. Never there when you want, need.

Passage is one of my favourites to write, I didn't think it would be this moving, but I guess that has a lot to do with the theme of grief. We've all felt that and how there's nothing more undescribably painful. In a way, all I did was just capitalize on what was already there in you guys, nearly all the reviews I've gotten for this gives me that feeling. Nothing could be better. That what I wrote and what you felt somehow met halfway. And now I'm just sounding geeky so I'll shut up But seriously thanks very very much!

absolutely phenomenal writing. phenomenal. i can't find anything to fuss over! i'm biased now....i love it how your titles are so ... alone. 1 worded titles always catch my eye. one word to describe a situation.. its hard to do that. great job.

I love your work. It's so poetic. I also like Roland Barthes. I hope you keep on writing Harry and Hermione's stories, because theirs is one that will always have that depth that can fit any poetry.

I don't know how I missed reviewing any of your stories, 'cause I read all of them the other night and loved every single one of them. This one is sad but beautiful, and I love the way it's written as if Harry's writing it to Hermione.

And since you like favorite lines, this is mine from this story:

"Ron explodes. A controlled, contained explosion, another development over the years."

I like to see Ron evolve and mature in fics, and that happens so rarely.

OK, this brought that sort of thick about-to-cry feeling to my throat. Very powerful. You write about a Hermione who's actually rather fragile, who attracts the protector in Harry. It's not a real common interpretation of Hermione, in fanfic. That makes it more poignant. I hope you will continue to write.
Author Feedback: Oh thank you! It's funny you should mention that the fragile Hermione is not a common interpretation. I for one do see a lot of it in canon, just as much as the kick-ass Hermione, so I guess most of it flows from there. Thanks again for the lovely comments

I am not an expert when it comes to writing or literature of any kind, but as a reader, I consider a story to be a good story if it conveyed to me emotions and touched my soul.

The way this story is written really touches my heart. I can feel the things the characters feel. Plus, when my mom passed away, I didn't get to say goodbye, too. So, I was totally in Hermione's shoes. Except I didn't have my Harry.

Thank you. Will be reading your other works now.
Author Feedback:

Hey,

Thank you You don't need to be an expert to talk about a story, experts usually miss the point What a writer would give their right arm to hear is what you just said to me, so thanks once again And I've seen your reviews to my other stories and I woefully lack the time to answer all of them, so I just wanted to let you know that I really, really appreciate it.

Oh my god, this was so well written. You can just feel the emotions running throughout this fic. What a wonderful job you did in portraying everything. I just loved the ending.

Nice job!
Author Feedback:
So sorry about the horribly late reply, you've probably forgotten by now that you reviewed this in the first place! I just wanted to say thanks, really appreciate you the comments.

Gawd, so morbid. Poor Hermoine. Poor Ron. Poor Susie. NOT the sort of thing I should be reading right before bed, I want happy thoughts! :-)

I thought it was a bit melodramatic of Harry to rail against fate - just a heart attack? - like that. But Ron's response was perfect, spot on.

Lovely ending, with the two together as one.

Thanks for the story!

I am in awe of your writing...this was just beautiful. The characters were heartbreakingly vulnerable and beautiful. Your portrayal of Harry and Hermione's relationship is one of my favorites.

Awww, thank you! I aim to please So grateful to you for taking the time to comment.

Musca, I bow down before again, oh my God of the written word. You are...phtphpthp...ht.ht....I can't think of the words. You are just...just...marvelous, that's what you are.

I'd pick out my favorite part and tell you, but, well, yet again you've left me with an entire chapter as a favorite part.

There is no one better than you, Ama. You are the best there is. Full-stop.

This is a very well written story. There are several excellent descriptions, and I like the way it is told (for some reason Harry never calling Hermione by name, just saying "You" really had an effect on me). I liked the fact that Hermione's mom died of a heartattack instead of a deatheater attack, because I thought it really made the characters seem very human. Great fic, but I have to say the genre and summary really didn't prepare me for it, you might want to make it Angst/Angst and for the summary say "Depressing fic level = Hide the kitchen knives!!!"
Author Feedback:
Lol, yeah I might have to do that, judging by the number of people who told me the fic made them sad!

Thanks so much for the kind words

Wow. Just wow.

You've crafted a fine and beautiful story there. I think we all forget that for all their powers, all their adventures, the Trio and everyone else is still human, still subject to the same frailty and shortcomings we all endure. The tale was told beautifully, and your incessant desire to conceal the identity of the speaker nearly drove me daft.

Kudos. You deserve every one of them

Dear ... God ... I don't even really know what to say to this one. It was beautiful and painful and exactly what I've come to expect from you. What a harsh reality to deal with, knowing that you can have any and every protection on a person, but in the end, there are things you just can't protect against.

Excellent, excellent work.

Thank you! And so glad to see you still here!
