I'm leaving a review here since I don't have any other way to pass a message along. I've been wondering what happened to 'The End of All Things.' One day I see an update in my inbox, but I passed it by for the moment since I was busy only to find that the entire story was gone when I checked back later the next day. I thought it may have been deleted by mistake so I let it go for a few days not wanting to add to the pile of email that I'm sure you were getting. Still nuttin'. What in the world is going on?

This made me smile. I, too, thought Hermione was OOC and a bit of an idiot in HBP. Harry's letter to the editor was also quite well done. I hope Hermione does learn to love both boys and make things up to them.

It's possible that JKR thought that Harry and Hermione were getting to close... too fast maybe? So she decided to suddenly cause a gap in their relationship.

I totally agree with lovewithnoface. Harry is so stupid sometimes and doesn't see what's really in front of him until it hits him square in the face. But I also agree wtih you and your father. What the hell happened to Hermione in book 6th. She was my most fave character and then the book totally thrashed her character and gave Ginny the spotlight of the whole book! It's like what the f*ck is that sh*t!!!It made me so made I almost didn't want to finish the book! I hope book 7th has something better to offer than book 6th did!

yes!! I felt that way too! She changed so much, and became ... unlikeable..! She used to be my favourite character, but SOMEONE ruined that for me...
But this story.. is the BEST explanation to it ever..! I can so believe this..! Well done! Loved it..!

In re Harry Potter and Hermione OOCness.

I think what people tend to forget since there is such a lag between the books, is that, although the books are not written in the first person, they're told from Harry's point of view. Well, Harry's a boy. And now he's a teenage boy. Do teenage boys never notice a girl until she's grown boobs, fall in love with her, can't stop thinking about her until they kiss her, date her, and therefore stop thinking about her at all until they break up? Um, well, yes. They do. They don't understand people, they're entirly preoccupied by the wrong things, and that's why he spent the entire book thinking that the HPB had to be one of his dad's chums. It had to be because the HPB was cool and helping him do better in potions. It couldn't possibly be someone he hated or even didn't know.

I love Harry Potter, I really do, but while I'm reading the books, I just want to smack the boy. If you think about it, it's like watching a video game being played badly. The person goes down the wrong corriders, and asks the wrong questions, and looks for the wrong things, and all you see is what they see.

Which is why I'm not a straight shipper any one particular way. I like good strong characters, and well written stuff. Not, "In Which Harry Is A Dolt For 722 Pages." I think that there are a great many wonderful stories where the characters are very very similar, but circumstances are a blink away.

Anyway, don't worry about the canon in that way, with all of the specifc events, because Harry is as thickheaded as Ron and Percy combined sometimes.

Just keep it interesting. And anytime you read canon and get too royally pissed off, erm, have Hermione hit him on the head for being a dolt? That's what I visualize. Oh, and I break into Dumbledore's stash of sweets.

Brilliant! Absolutely positively brilliant! I loved how you summerized bits of the 6th book from Hermione's point of view giving her the chance to explain what she was thinking of during that time. The reasons she went for Ron seemed reasonable... and I like the way you wrote this fic. It's brilliant haha... I'm off to read another one of your fics... I've actually never read one sad to say... but yeah, I'm off to read it now... hope it's as great as this =)

my sentiments exactly on hermione... i was surprised by the way she was portrayed in HBP. Seemed to be very cold hearted at times.. and dumbledore dying was a shock, im sure, to everyone.. even after snape used the spell on him i wasnt ready to believe that he was dead... anyway, this story im sure portrays sentiments of hundreds of thousands of people.. good job with the writing...

Very good, but very sad at the same time... not exactly what you expect when you open a H/Hr fanfic, but I must say, you did an AWESOME job. I always find it fun to see what we all would have liked to have been, Hermione's view on book 6. Good job!

I loved the letter, "plagued by earwax flavored beans" is just a brilliant line. But more than that, I think you're on to something here. Trying despirately to distance herself from Harry and push herself towards Ron more than explains her--er--"un-Hermione-like" behavior in book six. This was excellent and I really like that you addressed what Hermione's third scent might have been with the love potion in Slughorn's class. I really enjoyed reading this.

wow really wow i never thought that hermione might be like that and that´s why she did what she did cause its true even the brightes mind make the bigest mistakes take dumblerdor 4 example he is the shit and he still made really big mistakes but mabey and just mabey JKR will surprise us at the end thets the only thing that gives me hope that she always do something we dont have in mind and she could have done that just to see what way to go.....
