I'm liking the story so far, but your tenses are confusing me and making it hard to read.
I suggest getting a beta to go over these chapters again, and to decide if you're going to write in present or past tense, as the mixture isn't a good choice. |
Author Feedback: I know. I have to review the first few chapters and change the tenses or have my current beta go over it once more.  I had it beta-ed starting chapter 4 or 5, I think. I forgot already. But you'll see that the chapters improve as they go on (I hope).
