It's nice to see the effect of the first adventure on Ron. He's realized there's a seriousness to life, and he's realized the fight is worth fighting. Hermione has also realized a few things. That all the cleverness in the world can't make a hero. Harry relies on luck and intuition, while Hermione stakes her hope on knowledge. It will take both some day to defeat Voldemort. This is when the Trio was truly born. |

Oh, that was perfect! Weren't they cute when they were 11? I love Hermione's thoughts and yeah, I could totally see Ron and her having this conversation, deciding that their friendship with Harry was worth the risk and that he needed them. Very original and nice little story!

Nice plotline.
A great friendship fic. Proving that Ron and Hermione were taking a risk just by staying next to Harry and accepting that fact.
