Wow, that is good. It could be added to, but to be honest, it's perfect as is. Really, I think it would ruin the effect to be added to it. (I know you didn't say anything about putting more, but I just wanted to emphasize how powerful this is as a one-shot. Great writing skills: grammar, spelling, and style. The characters are in character and everything. I hope that this inevitible scene plays out something like this in the books. Again, good job!

Oh...by the way, 20 questions the way you (and most of us) know it was not what Harry and Hermione played. I remember it as 1 person thinking of a thought, and the other could only ask questions to try and figure it out. Just an after thought! |

Hey no worries! That was an excellent tale to start off with here! Really great work. Great job on how you started them out in the game and their various realizations about each other. The revelation of hte prophecy and their reactions to each other were awesome! Great job top to bottom! |

I liked how you got them talking about lots of different topics. I'm not surprised about Hermione keeping certain things from her parents (I wouldn't be surprised if it were the case in canon as well).
I liked the way it ended, with Hermione comforting Harry.

A very nice 'reveal' story. I love the sweetness in it; the reader could fairly feel the promise of romance.
just a few odd phrases I caught that stuck to my poor memory:
[...her knew her deepest fears...]
[...no knowledge about her life her before... ]
one other thing, it should be Sirius's when you're referring to the possesive

I liked your story very much. There is only one thing that bothered me about it. I think that there is no way that Harry could not remember the prophecy, word for word. Anything that important and life shaking has got to be burned into his memory. I did like the fact that you had them forming an even stronger bond than even they realized at the end. Nice story. Continue to write more of them. |
Author Feedback: Yeah I agree with you to some extent about the prophecy thing, but I sorta instinctively thought at the time I wrote the story that Harry would remember less of the actual wording and more of the meaning behind it. Plus, I've read some other stories where he recites it word for word, and I just wanted to be a little bit different. We'll see how JKR does it soon, huh?
