This is the one of the best fics i've read this month. I still can't believe i hadn't seen it before. Really comforting and nice, especially the last part. |

"Because you know now that whatever else—whatever happens, whatever you have to face, whatever you have to do to win, she’ll never turn her back on you."

I know I've read this before and I hope I reviewed then (not nice to read and not review!). Still a great, tightly written, very in-character one shot. Enjoyed it all over again.

Damn. I'm sure I've reviewed this before - but it's just as good second time round. Am getting desperate for good one shots (of the H/Hr persuasion). Anyways, well done (again?), and thanks!
Cheers,

I loved this. I thought you handled the situation beautifully. It's just how i'd imagine they'd react. After all, it's true. Harry was always going to have to face Voldemort in the end |

You know, I can't believe I been so daff as to not to review this fanfic. It's just so wonderful. It's short, and sweet and promises so much to come, een if we don't read it. We can just imagine what will happen. It's a lovely short piece of writing. Good job. |

Nice. I'm one of those who thinks that when it comes down to it it'll be Hermione, and only Hermione, that helps Harry during the final battle. lol
Great fic! |

That was really, really good. I've never considered Hermione thinking that way. I believe that they're all under the impression that someone else, like Dumbledore, will eventually defeat Voldemort, which is why Harry was so shocked to learn it HAS to be him. But this is nicely written. Bravo! |

Sorry... didn't mean to post anonymous... small mistake! I didn't realise
Still... loved it!
Can't quite put my finger on what's so special, but loved it! |

Heh. For a moment I though this was a comedy piece ... and then I thought Hermione was poking fun at me, as I have been wondering lately about exactly this - the ways in which Harry's friends might react to the prophecy. I thought Hermione might go through an initial stage of extreme sorrow, tears and hugs all 'round, before witching into her analytical, research-in-the-library phase though.
I remember Sib's story "The Awakening Power" (on all the good H/G sites near you) where Ginny accepted it just as calmly. Her take was "well, we knew it was always going to be you, Harry ... and now this prophecy tells us that YOU CAN WIN!!". I thought Hermione was going to add that after saying "Now we know for certain".
And OK, I'm not a sixteen year old wizard, but if I was told I might have to kill an evil wizard to save my life and those of the entire wizarding world I really don't think I'd spend too much time worrying about becoming a murderer ... much better prospect than the alternative.
Thanks for the story! |

That was different - I really liked it. She was a tad abrupt, but I get the feeling that she sensed he needed that. Like it was obvious to her all along and that she had the utmost confidence in him. Lovely. Well done. |
