That was really good. And I definitely think you should do an extended version that expands on this and fills out some of the details. Like why Hermione decided to go to him then.

I don't really read the songs on fics but the rest was good. It would have been better if there was an explanation why Hermione stopped coming to Harry after the first few weeks.

Author Feedback: Thanks! I hope to extend the story soon, probably over summer vacation. I think right now I'm just going to start out with one-shots. I like to write extended stories, but I sometimes tend to be really impatient in my writing and just want to get all my ideas out, so my long stories all seemed really rushed and stuff. Good story--and you are only 14? I'm always amazed at the talent here on Portkey and will look forward to reading more from you. I liked the way Hermione was finally able to break through Harry's barrier and reach him.
