Please keep it up. Write write write, anything you want. I had no idea a Ron/Lavender argument in the Gryff common room could turn into something so deep and introspective. The debate turned some of the HPverse characters into people for me. Lavender doesn't really have to seem an empty headed bint, for example. I could see this argument taking place in a wizarding school, for sure. You take the cliche of the uselessness of Divination as a subject and stand it on it's head. Again, you work in some rich, heady verse and for me it's ironic. A clinical study set up by curious students to prove a point one way or another. They could have used any old book for their test. Most of these kids wouldn't go near poetry outside a classroom for any reason (maybe if it's set to rock music and not thought of as poetry. *cough* most-of-the-people-I-went-to-high-school-with). Most of them having this poetry touching them deeply or influencing them somehow. I love having this concept occur to me rather than being spoon fed in some high school English class, by the way, and I love how this concept is not an obvious point. Just there, like a gift wrapped within another larger gift, for those who can appreciate it.

Thank you, by the way, for writing Harry/Hermione stories that don't come out looking like another episode of All Harry, All Hermione All The Time with short guest appearances by -insert name here-.

I think you somehow crammed three stories and a poetry lesson into this one shot. That's over and above.
Author Feedback: Hi!

Thank you for the review ... it came at a rather low point in my life and has been of great, *great* help in helping me out of a year-long funk.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

As you may notice, I am somehat tardy in a response to you; simply because I have not been keeping up with my stories and even with the HP fandom. There are a lot of reasons behind this; suffice it to say that - as you may have noticed - I have been extremely unproductive the past year.

Your review brings back a lot of things which I have missed in my life. Rod McKuen once said that when writing, all the author can hope for is that "... someone stops and looks in our direction."

Reading your review of this and of "Awakenings" makes me realize that, yes indeed ... someone has stopped, and looked in my direction.

And this (along with some other things ) has given me the inspiration to start writing once again.

Thank you ... from the bottom of my heart ... thank you.

*Hugs*

Got around to reading more of your stuff and found this one to be particularly amusing. Ron/Lavendar makes an interesting and believable pairing.

Alright... I've been wanting to get to your stories for ages what with all the fabulous reviews you gave, I could only assume you wrote just as well.

I loved this piece. First of all, very creative and second, so sweet.

I was aching for them to kiss (of course) but your ending was perfect!

Fabulous!

Oh I just love thsi story!! I have read it numerous times, and I still get a kick out of it, still end up grinning foolishly at the end of it. I do have one question however, one thing that has me puzzled. At the beginning you mentioned that Hemione didn't want to deal with the fight because she had many things burdening her shoulders including OWL's but then shortly after you mentioned that they were at the beginning of their 6th year. Well they wouldn't have OWL's then would they? I don't know maybe I read it wrong but it confused me either way. Other than that though very well written, in fact I would love to read a sequel...hint hint.

I'm moments away from going to bed, but I knew I couldn't leave without leaving another review. This is another story that I'm surprised I never came across before, and I'm really glad I did tonight. I can dream sweet dreams now!

This story had everything. Romance, humor, realism, etc...it was all rolled into one neat package. It would have been nice to see some H/Hr snoggin', (as opposed to Ron/Lavender), but deep down my heart feels more satisfied with the ending you came up with.

And Ron's whisper of "So that's how it is..." It literally sent shivers down my spine. Who the hell hasn't been through that? Ah, to be a teenager again!

Thanks for this story, gil. Keep up the wonderful work!

You know for a relatively happy story this left me feeling rather sad. Really well written though and an excellent use of the characters and poems.
