Simply beautiful. The pacing is perfect, the launguage is wonderfully fitting... everything is wonderful.

And the lack of dialouge was a wise creative decision. Having the characters talk to each other during this scene would have made it less... wonderful? I guess you cdould say... almost as if speaking would have made it common place.

Very nice. I came across your name and some stories in the 'H/R FAVOURITES RECLIST" as was posted on the HarryHermoine livejournal site a day or two ago. I've printed out some of your stories but have only had the time to read this quick one so far.

A very short story, but it puts across its point very well. Real good sense of built-up-suspense to this point and the spectre of Voldemort looming in the distance.

One trivial suggestion - do away with the "The End" closing at the end of the story? Remembering back to my high school days, where I was told one should end a speech with a concluding remark or sentence which stands out and screams "this was the end", such that any "This is the end of my talk" trailer is superfluous.

In this case I reckon your final sentence is great and brings the story to a full, satisfying halt quite easily ... so (for me) reading 'The End' right below seemed just a little trite. Your story didn't need it!

Oh i loved this. I love you. I love Harry. I love Hermione. (sorry it's been a great day for me lol) I just think you captured the perfect emotions with this piece. I mean everyone does there first time, but few do the feelings afterward, few show the pain and love all at once, few show him leaving the next day, few show the weight and pain of his (their) battle. I LOVED IT! Recomending it to everyone right now!
