Author Feedback: Your praise is probably unwarranted, but I'll greedily snatch it up anyway.  It's particularly...meaningful to me in this case, because I wrote this story at a pivotal time in my life. There's all sorts of funny feelings that go along with it. It was written in a couple of days when I was simply replying to someone's request. I didn't think much of it at first, but I do like it now. I'm glad you do, too.

Hey i really love this fic. Love is such an overused word in reviews, but this time i really mean it. I love the simplicity of it and how its much more about feelings than anything "graphic". It really gives a sense of the characters personality. I thought the bit with Ron and Fang was really funny too. Away to read more of your fics now. |
Author Feedback: I am pretty much that kind of writer. I don't have much happening in my stories, but a great exploration of people's feelings and motivations is almost a sure thing. I guess I'm lazy.
Ron to me is a humorous character. He is the perfect character to use to lighten things up and provide laughter in the midst of some really painful soul-searching. One of the many reasons he was not written or developed to go well with a character like Hermione. IMHO, of course.

This fic had me cracking up. Really, so far, it's made me laugh more than all your others. But then, it was definitely tinged with that "it's either laugh or cry" quality.
I must sound quite repetetive by now, but I must say again- The *EMOTION* in this fic. Everything about it just sang of truth. It was painted so perfectly, I felt I was right there with them, feeling every stab of pain, and every memory, and every sobbing laugh.
And I had no IDEA that Harry and Hermione were together until you literally gave it away, which made me feel frustrated at the fact that I could be fooled as easily as everyone else. Hmph. 
But, again, what you were able to depict between the two of them in just that short scene! It (upcoming cheesiness alert) moved me. "I won’t have you walking around with the label Harry Potter’s fucking lifeline!" This line made my stomach flop in one of those ways that was entirely good. And then everything after that was just- undescribable. Harry Potter's Heart- *closes eyes, beams, and gives happy sigh*

Author Feedback: I'm thinking I probably did disappoint with Existing, but as I explained...it was a tough time in my life and I needed to take some therapy out on Hermione.
I am glad you enjoyed Labels, though. I wrote it for someone special and it will always have a special place in my heart because of that fact. It started with only Hagrid's death in my head and turned into an exploration of what it means to be attached to Harry. The whole "labels" theme sort of developed as my fingers did the writing. It was fun.
But my greatest accomplishment with this one (and you caught it) was the combination of emotions. I truly believe that life is this way...you don't give up laughing because pain is visiting. You don't stop living. Things are absurd, and life is a struggle, and your friends (and lovers, in this case) are still there to help get you through. This is especially true in the HP world.
