Me again! Just thought I'd check out your other fics. So, this was your first Portkey fic? Well done! If you want to eventually write more than fanfics, keep writing - best practice you can get! You might find you want to move on from writing one-shots after a while (I noticed you have an "in progress" fic, up to Ch 5 - I'm off to read that next). Funny, when I first started reading at PK all I was interested in was one-shots and while I still read them a lot I now also read chaptered fics (although waiting for updates can often be a killer!). Nicely done. Song Fics often leave me cold unless I actually know the song, but the song @ the end made it a lot easier to get into the story inseatd of worrying that I have the cadence and inflection off. The story itself was a good take on a well worn staple of fics since OotP - Harry is scared, pushes friends away, Voldy is gone and then he has to patch things up.
