Oh man this makes me want to cry for a bit. So far this story is wonderful and I'm loving it. Your writing is wonderful as well. |

Omg.
I found this fic just now. I've got no idea how old it is and I don't care.
Damnit. You had me crying my eyes out by the 5th paragraph. Even now I have tears in my eyes.
Damn good fic. |

Great story! Time Travel is hard to do right ... if you don't keep the timeline one hundred percent consistent and unaltered (a' la' Back to the Future, say) then it's difficult to stop the paradoxes and such from spoiling things. Your solution of having the two Hermiones and two Rons 'merge' was a nice half-way measure that stopped me from having to scratch my head, allowing me to simply sit back and enjoy the story. And their (drunken) recollection of the original timeline was a great little sub-climax at the end of the tale.
I also appreciated very much that Hermione and Ron simply put RIGHT what Bellatrix had corrupted; i.e. the new timeline wasn't determined purely for their own selfish purposes, but for eminently correct and proper reasons. Not that that would have stopped Hermione, of course ...
The battle scene was excellent; or rather, what I meant was the scene after the battle, when an invisible Hermione, and then Ron, hugged their best friend. The sense of emotional release as Hermione could relax again, after saving him, was palpable. And Ron's words were excellent, too. A really good sense of The Trio (TM JKR) as well as H/Hr in this story. Thanks for writing it! |

Even though it means putting Harry and Hermione together (as they should be), I kind of feel sorry for Ron. |

I remember reading this a while ago and I forgot how much it broke my heart. I didn't know there was a chapter two, let alone chapters 3-5, so I'm going to read those now. |

I just came across this fic, and I don't want to leave without letting the author/s know how much I enjoyed it! Now more than ever, fics like these help me get through the possibility of no H/Hr in book 7.
This is a very unique approach to the time travel angle. I loved it so much! Thanks for writing it and sharing! |

Ahh finally reading this story. You've got a very interesting and sad beginning. I have terrible trouble with stories in which Harry dies young (I mean, anything less than 85, but especially while trying to defeat Voldemort. OF COURSE Hermione feels broken (and Ron too) when Harry dies this way. Interesting that she shoves all those feelings under the rug except on the anniversary of his death. Must continue to read |

I just found this fic and I have to say that it was fantastic. I do love a good time turner fic, and this has to be one of the best ones I have read in a while. |

Ooooh, Excelent little fic. It's sweet and angsty and all in all excelent. Which is a suprise as most multi author fics i've read were a bit iffy. This however is pure gold. |

WOW. Capital W, Capital O, Capital W!
That was easily one of the best stories I have ever read, and that compliment does not come lightly, as I've read a good portion of fics here at The Portkey.
I really enjoyed everthing about it from the battle scene to the trio moment before it to the memory at the end...it was just all mignificent.
I have been a fan of Goldy's work for some time, and I have to thank you for not letting this be another sad fic (despite how much I love them, this was just SO much better).
The writing was excellent, and I felt very attached to the characters throughout the entire story. Great job, and I enjoyed the surprise twist (I definately did NOT see that coming).
Until next time,

Very beautiful story! It was poignant and brilliant -- a simple but emotion-filled plot. I enjoyed reading this fic very much. However, I was a little disturbed by Hermione's cruelty in suggesting to use the time-turner. I would have thought that there would have been more discussion about "them" -- Ron and Hermione. Yes, I'm a very big Harry/Hermione shipper -- but that doesn't mean that I think Ron deserves to be hurt like that! It was another blow see that neither Ron nor Hermione remembers. Although it may have been the way "things were supposed to be" -- I think it would have been fair for them to understand what they sacrificed, so that they don't forget. At least there was a glimpse of that at the end.
Now that I got that tirade out, I want to say that I really did enjoy reading this fic. It was an interesting take on a novel idea, and you did a wonderful job. I'd like to see more from the lot of you!! |
