Really interesting story and I think that if Harry pushed Hermione far enough away, she would turn to Ron. I thought that your story was believable, but tragic. Well written.

I'm a bit...drained from reading this. Shattered, nearly. It's not that...the concept of Harry dying is so painful (though it is). The manner in which you conveyed his end, with Hermione as the perceived vehicle, the turning to Ron because Harry had slipped away...I am drained.

"I’m just the one that caused him to lose his will to live." Brutal and powerful statement.

It's a wonderfully stark tale, though, and just...well, I've run out of words here. Not enough in my vocabulary to impart the effect that this confession has had. Dark and evocative are two words that come to mind. I think the story is a bit beyond sadness and is something closer to resignation. At least, that is how Hermione's voice sounded in my mind. Resolute and resigned, accepting of what she believes to be her role in the death of Harry.

*sighs* Tremendous.
Author Feedback: Thanks for the review. I woke up this morning with this idea in my head. Actually, the scene where Ron and Hermione return to the common room after their night together, and Ginny saying "Harry knows" was the spark for the entire story.

I'm glad the story was able to evoke so much emotion in you. It certainly did in me as I was writing it.
