Author Feedback: Dumbledore is being Dumbledore. I for one see him as a manipulative bastard who is willing to use any means to achieve an ends. I am working on the next update, but I don't know about slowing down the pace of the story. I'll try, but i don't know. Thanks for the review.

Author Feedback: First of all, I never said that Hermione was going to face Voldemort, I said she wanted to fight with him. That does not automatically imply that Hermione thinks she is going to be facing Voldemort, only making sure Harry can get to him... it isn't like Voldemort would fight without his death eaters, and therefore someone needs to fend them off. Second of all, people will always hope that things will be peaceful and I don't think I am necessarily setting things up to happen that way... total peace is utopic and utopias don't have a way of working out. And I don't think for one second that Hermione is going to face Voldemort with Harry and bam! evil wizard is defeated. She does believe he is going to come back and win, Harry is the one who thinks he is going to die fighting ... Hermione is the one telling him that he needs to fight and give up the notion that he is going to die. And I do believe that the point that I made about the prophecy in the story is that it was up to interpretation and Hermione even says destiny is dynamic -- in simple terms, that means it changes and is not set in stone, each choice he makes determines his own destiny, and I made that pretty clear. And Harry is the one who doesn't believe in himself, everyone else does -- even Dumbledore thinks he is capable of defeating Voldemort, he just thinks love is getting in the way. And finally Harry is not pitying himself, nor is anyone else. Harry is doubting himself and his abilty to do what he has to do. Pity implies he feels sorry for himself, and I did not write a Harry who feels sorry for himself, nor do any of the characters take pity on him in this story. And I resent the fact that you blanked all H/Hr shippers and insinuate that we make him look like a dick! Have you read Order of the Phoenix, JKR did not write Harry as Mr. Sensitive, he was an angsty whiny character in that book who exhibited much of the same character traits that I have brought over into this story. And how am I being one sided on Hermione, exactly? I am paying equal attention to Harry and Hermione and have not taken away Harry's role as the hero. I enjoy the prospects of Harry and Hermione ending up together, but focusing on one or the other has no bearings on my support of a particular ship in a fandom.

And another thing, Harry does not think dying in order to defeat Voldemort is the cowards way out -- he sees it as a grandeios act of martyrdom: sacrificing himself for the greater good.

If you would like to continue this debate with me, feel free to do so. However, I am unsure of where some of your logic and thinking is coming from.
