Hey great story! I have a few questions though, ok now I know they are going to seem like really stupid questions..but I'm American and what's worse than that is that I am Texan. Ok sorry anyway, I was wondering what the phrase "to take the mickey on him a bit" means. Also, a dressing gown? I'm not too sure what that is, I mean I thought only girls wore long, flowy dresses to sleep in (at least that's what I'm picturing the dressing gown to look like) and was just wondering exactly what it was because Harry was wearing one too. Sorry, great story! You're bloody brilliant writer! Great job! |
Author Feedback: Hi Lissa, thanks for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed this little smutlet. Your questions are actually good ones. I try very hard to write my stories using British English, including typical British figures of speech. In England, a dressing gown is really what Americans call a bathrobe. Harry has even mentioned people (including himself!) wearing dressing gowns in the various HP books. And "taking the mickey" means to tease someone. Hope this helps.
