I like dis story. I read a story earlier, the title and author have left my brain at the moment, and the author said this fic was the inspiration. This fic is without a doubt, one of the most awesome fics I've read. It wasn't too long (coming from a person who uses Search/Filter to find stories over 100,000 words), it was deep, fluffy, cool, and so many other words that I can't think of because my brain is buzzing with plot bunnies. Rereading this. Oh how sad is it that after HBP (this still feels canon) it makes me want to nearly cry... Cry for Hermione- who, in canon as it is now, is STILL standing by Harry's side, tapping his shoulder, waiting for him to realize that love, the person who loves him and will always be there for him, is right there and has always been there...
God, so brilliant, Gil-- and so perfect, so wonderful. It's really true; H/Hr's friendship doesn't leave room for anyone else. It's why they're meant to be.

Well, I shouldn't say it that way. There are still plenty who hold that Hermione and that Harry and even that Ginny in their hearts, and listen to them for their inspirations. So there could yet be a great many Something Amazings.

I'm re-reading this for the first time in a long time, Gil, and considering the way JKR just torpedoed our ship, I'm wishing we'd sent this to JKR 3 years ago. Maybe then she wouldn't have written OotP as the Harry & Hermione show, giving us another book aimed at deluding us into thinking that she EVER meant to let Harry and Hermione get together... This story makes me believe your theory that JKR never intended to let Harry and Hermione get together; that Hermione kind of went her own direction-- toward Harry-- in several books, and JKR felt the need to knock her back toward Ron in HBP. *sigh* Thanks again for sharing this with us.

This is an awesome story! I totally loved it!

Who knows? Maybe something like this really happened? After all, look at OotP...

Ginny seems to have gotten over Harry. And she may have a new man in her life, what with Neville coming to her defense, and her his ("I'm nobody." ... "No you're not.")

Ron's still drooling over Hermione, but a new girl has shown up who seems very interested in him. And I get the impression she's the kind of girl who won't take 'no' for an answer.

Hermione certainly seems to have gotten her feathers ruffled over Harry & Cho's kiss (which we didn't even see, mind you...)

And of course Harry himself seems to have finally gotten over Cho. Don't forget how panicked he was when he was afraid she might be dead.

I don't know... looks like the pieces might be falling into place finally.

Less than a week away from HBP... we'll have to wait and see.

Damn, that was totally outrageous!!! I sat and laughed my ass off at times, other times there were just tears! This story was totally unexpected, totally amazing, and a total winner with me!!! Wow, talk about working through a writer's block!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
