Very nice! Although I'm wondering if Harry has told her the prophecy - I suspect not, since it isn't mentioned - and therefore I think he's a bit of a bounder, really, for reeling her in before he tells her of the implications, that he MUST face and Voldemort and probably be killed, etc.

Not that that would stop Hermione, of course, but he's got to let her know what she's taking on if she has a relationship with him.

I loved the idea that Hermione honestly couldn't work out when she'd fallen in love with Harry - "But she honestly couldn’t remember what it felt like to not love him". Very nice, and one of the foundations of H/Hr, of course, the power behind the idea of that deep friendship just evolving over time to something bigger and deeper, the longer it goes. *so much more* satisfying than sudden emergence of chest monsters! :-(

I've been reading a slew of one shots here lately and this one is the best of the lot so far. It's got a gritty texture that lets the reader feel the deliberate way you fashioned Hermione's character. It's a fantastic testament of your talent as a writer and I hope that you won't stop writing.

Very cute and sweet! Definitely brought tears to my eyes. Harry's reactions toward Hermione's whereabouts and ron stubbing her toe were just like him. I could see that happening in the books! Great work

This was the best Christmas-fic I've ever read. It didn't feel like a Christmas fic, which ir probably why I loved it. I got that warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach when I read this.
