Love this story. I know it must be sort of shocking to you
I'm not gonna repeat what I said on LJ, so I'll only add that I'm delighted you let Harry tell Hermione: I need you, I'm so happy you're here. Guess nothing can be more important to her.
Loved their kiss. You know, I thought they were sitting but than read this: "she could feel the cold wooden floor against her back" and, oh... Loved it... (God, I'm verbose today... )
Can't think of a better Christmas gift for both of them than that they felt loved, needed and wanted.
Brilliant job, sweetie. And sorry for a sucky review... |

How utterly adorable!!! I loved it, this bit of fluffy fluff. This is what a [short] one-shot should be, just a glimpse into into the lives of people. It's a wonderful moment that you managed to capture. I'm glad you didn't bother with the back story to this as it would've bogged down the story and made it more angst than fluff. Great stuff here. I'm glad I stumbled acrossed it. |

Wow, another great piece very well done and emotionally charged but not quite as hard or maybe not just as sad as the other piece. Excellent work with the pair and keep up the work! |

That was :so: them. And I liked how it was their moment, and it happened when they were sitting on the porch. Who needs a romantic setting?

I'm so glad you posted this here. The perfect Christmas story - credible, relevant to OotP and all that's going on, painful but pretty.
I love that line..."I don't understand you sometimes" and the explanation that follows. That sort of illustrates why I think Hermione is invested in Harry way past the normal friendship boundaries. (That doesn't even make sense, but you'll have to live with it. I'm fried.) And her statement about what-ifs...I love that, too. God knows Harry could easily drown in the what-ifs if given the chance.
Hope you get the reaction you deserve. Your writing gives so much to the rest of us. Thanks for continuing to put out. *smirks*

Another simply beautiful and lovely fic. You convey the sense of gloom and foreboding and the undercurrent of feelings so well. The characters are so honest with each other, that was wonderful to see. Thank you for a wonderful christmas present, I hope you are enjoying christmas with your loved ones too. |
Author Feedback: Thank you!
It was fun to write. I always like writing stuff for Sarah...
Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. |

Okay, so here lies probably my first genuine review without sarcasm, maybe.
I thought it was simply beautiful. A glimpse into those small (but actually big) moments that make falling in love happen between two people.
My favorite line:
“Sometimes the tinsel and the presents and those moments that you wished you never grew out of— they don’t matter. Sometimes the place, dreary or happy, full of miserable memories— they don’t matter. It’s the people that make Christmas, Harry. And even though, I wish my parents could be here with me. I have you.”
Now have a very Merry Christmas.
*flips sarcasm switch and dons Scrooge costume*
Now get back to work on Magnolias, Cratchet!!
Cheers! |
Author Feedback:
If you can be Scrooge, I'm going to act like a four year-old. So there:
Anyways, thank you. It was a nice little Christmas ficlet to write.
Well, Scrooge... I've got a new computer to write the next Chapter of Magnolias and a certain someone's present for picking a title for our yahoo group.
Patience is a virtue, darling.
*goes back to acting four*

A nicely balanced ficlet. I think you mixed angst and potential fluff very well. On a minor note, there are some mixed tenses and a word or two missing (I do that! ), but I quite enjoyed the story. Hermione and Harry are getting beat up a fair bit, but at least they have one another.
Thank you for sharing and happy holidays! |
Author Feedback: Hehe. Yes, I beat them up quite a bit... but I do manage to do the positive thing and leave 'em together. |

Thank you for this chapter and story. Please keep up the great work and enjoy your self when you write.Ignore any and all flames. |

Lynched to death, eh? Well. Now that you mention it...
That was lovely. (Ha! See how I got you off the hook there?)
And I know that you posted it on your LJ, but I think it's the one fic of yours I never got around to reading. AND! It was almost fluffy! *clutches heart* Well. As fluffy as you get, anyway.
As usual, I love the way that you manage to capture the raw intensity between Harry and Hermione. It's just amazing. You're the best I've ever read at giving them that emotional depth that makes the H/Hr pairing so alluring.
[“I have you,” she whispered again. “You’re alive and healthy and right here. And that is better than anything at all.”]
Heh. Don't even try and tell me that you're not secretly a giant sap. *grin*
And, of course, one big giant 'awww...' |
Author Feedback: Yes, well... maybe I won't be lynched to death after all. I love Christmas. *smirks* And computers that work.
ME? A sap? Nooooo... I will deny it until the rest of all eternity. |
