Author Feedback: Oh yes, the Star Trek reference was totally intentional! (I LOVE Star Trek!). And now the "ciao" makes perfect sense! (I have used it myself - picked it up froma niece's husband who is Italian) but it seems to get used more as a "goodbye" than a "hello" by us non-Italian speaking persons!
I'm actually envious - I think to be bi-lingual is just sooooooo good! (Especially reading in your second language!)
OK, going now - always love to read reviews!

I really really enjoyed your story. I like the fact that you present Harry as an all powerful wizard, something that JKR barely does (and the fact that she's selling this character as the one with powers to rival a lord, it doesn't fit together). So I always enjoy fics where Harry power is noticed by others. I thought the humour was great, the little part with Athur Weasely betting with his sons when Molly was admonishing the idea of betting reminded me of the car scene from the chamber of secrets.
Only thing I didn't quite like was the D/G, just never really understood the ship. I hate the Malfoy redeemed line some other fics take, so I'm glad you didn't go that route. I think people unfairly judge Ginny's character over the diary incident, from all accounts she was possessed (add to the fact she was 12 at the time with Voldermort's soul in her hands). Her character has barely had one iota of evil, so everyone pairing her as attracted to the bad boys never fits well with me personally, but different ships appeal to different people so I respect that.

Author Feedback: Thank you for your review! So good to read a review with "meat on the bones", so to speak! I've always felt (perhaps incorrectly, although I hope not...) that JKR intended Harry to be a very powerful wizard (otherwise, how the hell is he going to defeat Voldemort???!!) and I think that given his personality, Harry would be uncomfortable with "blowing his own horn" when it came to his power - but would never baulk at using it for the sake of his friends or loved ones. It made me smile reading your comment about Arthur and Molly and the betting - I just love the Weasley family and felt that whole scene was quite possible given their personalities!
Ah, yes...D/G... on that subject (despite appearances - via my stories), I'm with you. To me, there is no way you can justify the canon Draco and canon Ginny every getting together. No way. It's not a ship I've ever understood either BUT...having said that, from a writer's point of view it's a challenge and I have to say, adds "spice" to the overall mix so I used it. But as you noticed, I can't bring myself to "reform" Draco (give me a break!!!!) - because in my heart, he's, well, a "no goer".
Well, having just about written a chapter in response to your review - for which I apologise! - I would like to thank YOU (again) for your thought provoking review (best kind!).

wow! well here i was minding my own business when i happened across this story. i though mmmm maybe i will just read a couple of chapters. ya right!!  i got hooked i stayed up until 1 in the morning reading this thing. now this was on sat. so first thing sunday mornin i started on 4 weds & a funeral. and i cant stop reading! i know i should be doin other thing but i cant!LOL! well anyway i love you stories!!!   |

You can write as many reviews as you like dear!!! They're just GREAT!!! *Janie makes note that when she reviews "Follow Me Home" to make sure it's a doozy!!* I have enjoyed reading them all SOOOOO much - thank you, thank you!! (all the others too, that is, not just for "Day"!!)
I'm just so sorry I haven't replied before this - in fact, I've neglected my "Reunion" reviews too - have to do something about that!! I've still just had so little time to get to my computer and when I do make it, I've been working madly on Chapter 12 of "Reunion" (and, um, writing a synopsis for a new story that hopped into my head the other day...::sigh:: Bloody bunnies!!!! I might have to cage this one though so I get some READING done for a change!!!)
Anyways, I just love that you loved this - I had the best time writing it, my first long fic and it was also really nice just to swing over to "Four Weddings" with all the same characters and everything in place - although keeping track of events and plotlines was hard work!
Anyways, better go say g'day to my "Reunion" reviewers - I seemed to have picked up a couple of new ones too! (I always wonder how that happens...you post ten chapters and then *poof! ...smoke clears* people find you fic!! Not that I'm complaining of course...
I will - TRULY! - reply to your email soon, I'm just not sure WHEN...and I know you don't mind but I still don't like to keep you waiting! (I still think we should be able to stay awake and only sleep one night a week!!!! How much more time would we have??!!!)

(I reviewed ch. 11 but somehow it got lost in cyberspace! I think all I really said then was that I certainly did NOT see Hr's disappearance coming! I also thought the Kidde and Knapp names were pretty funny!) Wow! This was great! Not to repeat myself, but I've been really enjoying reading this! (Sorry about so many reviews, but I'm sure you'll forgive me since they are very enthusiastic! ) I like Neville as a cop. Everyone always puts him as the next herbology prof., which is fine, but I like this different take on him. I can see how he might go into law enforcement, with what happened to his parents.
I can also see that the same thing crossed your mind that did mine - when Harry asked, "Did they touch you?" Being a woman and all, you can't help but think of the terrible advantage criminals with magic would have and the damage they could do. *shiver* Anyway! So glad that wasn't part of the plan! *wipes forehead in relief*

Hello! I feel I've recently innundated you with reviews and e-mails, so I'm trying not to add more, but... I wanted to let you know "where" I am in your stories! I LOVE this one! Everything about it is perfect! (And yes, I did note the absence of a particular four letter word, with one delicious exception!) I love the name "Ima Wordsmith!" Very clever! I also love how the Burning Broomstick keeps showing up in your Potterverse. Your love scenes are wonderful!!! So well done! Tasteful AND hot! Not an easy combo to pull off. I also an intrigued by the story line. This is a great story, and I'm glad I'm only about halfway through! (I am tempted to keep reading but I need to get to bed and I'm not sure I'm up for dealing with Harry's bad day! ) I love the "Friends" inspired chapter titles, too! (I'm sure I'll think of more things I love that I forgot to metion. I'm always forgetting something! ) Oh! I remembered one! I love the "Research" dept. Hr works in! It's always struck me as odd that she is SO driven in the books, yet never actually says what she plans on doing, career wise. Weird, isn't it? Anyhow, I am having the best time reading this!!! Ok, while I'm rambling, I also love your adult Harry. People sometimes take pretty broad liberties with him, and it seems to me that you've got him down really well, how he would be later on down the line. Now I really better go before I turn into a pumpkin. Oh no! Too late! |

Ooooh I'm loving this! Only just started it (bad idea at 1.30am) and unfortunately will have to save it for another day.
I'm loving this and how they're going to get together! Harry is just so 'naughty'!!! And I love Hermione in this. Poor thing, so shy.
