Author Feedback: I'm glad you enjoyed this one, too. I always appreciate readers that try more than one of my stories. They are quite different, one to the next (because I was trying to different things), so it could tend to put some people off.
Anyway, this was, I think my second or third story. It holds a special place in my heart because I have always been appalled by the treatment Harry gets from the Dursleys. As a mom, I found reading it to my daughter to be difficult in the beginning. I couldn't believe JKR went as far as she did. Then for her to ignore it (as it seems she is doing - you wouldn't know Harry should be mal-adjusted, would you?)...well, I find that...somewhat irresponsible on her part. But then I remind myself that I guess this is indeed a children's series, and not one meant for the adult reader to dissect and digest and all that. More's the pity.
