Very nice story! I'm glad that Hermione and Harry got back together, and it's sad that Ron died. Harry really should have told them sooner about the upcoming battle...and Hermione could have said, "no" to Ron, but maybe she didn't want to go alone? |

Every time I read this chapter, it makes me think of an episode of Aladdin, the TV series, where they have to find a mirror in a cold cave that only shows the truth. This was random, I know, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. |

Major error: the Cruciatus Curse is used for painful torture. The imperious curse is the one which lets the caster control people. That latter was probably the one you were thinking of when Hermione tells Harry about the Yule Ball. |

I'm really glad that you enjoyed this story, as it was the first one I wrote. Having said that, I wrote it QUITE a while ago, so let me try to remember about the mirror....
That was Medusa's Mirror, wasn't it? And I think it only reflected the truth, and it also had the power to magnify spells cast into it. Also, the mirror could only be used by the one who actually FOUND it, which was in this case, Ron. I don't know if this clarifies things...if there's a particular question about it, feel free to send an owl, or another question via review.

Amazing... I've been reading Here At the End for so long, and I'd never thought to check out your other stuff... I don't know how I missed this the first time around, but I'm glad I found it...
I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Each character was so in character. It was sad that Ron died, but at least he was at peace... The Harry/Hermione stuff was great... very well written...
Not to mention you ended it all with the word 'scar', just like JKR...
