I enjoyed this start it was different and I am looking forward to Harry standing up for himself.

God! I wanted Ron and Harry to kick Percy's ass so bad!
Really good stuff. A bit of sap, good amount of humor and just a dash of stickin' it to the man.
Got the characters down pretty well too.

I don't think I've ever commented an author this much. This is story is just.. wow. I don't even know how else to put it. The stupidity of the ministry, the fear that someone might actually be better than the boundaries they've set up for themselves, the power and love Hermione has in the school, the solidarity and loyalty of the students, the pride of the teachers, the nastiness of one Percy Weasley, and the Harry/Hermione love that we all know.

Cornholius should be more careful; after all, he's counting on the Chosen One to save his porcine ass from Moldyfarts. Under those terms pissing Harry off by attacking the girl he loves would seem to be counter-productive, no matter how much of a certified pain-in-the-arse she's choosing to be....

I'm coming to this one rather late, but I have to say that I really enjoyed this well-written and poignant one-shot. I admit I'd like to see follow-on stories detailing what happens in the aftermath (a victorious Harry is rather likely, now, to make life *HELL* for this Minister of Magic and the sodding idiot won't be able to do a thing - and what'll likely happen to Percy, even if it's non-violent, will be even worse). I can see Hermione finding a way to take her NEWTS, anyway, and still getting top scores all around (much to the Minister's disgruntlement). Add to the developing relationship here 'tween Harry & Hermione and there's lots more to be told here.

Such a strong, inspiring story. I could see and hear everything in the Great Hall, just as you described it. And the letter from Harry was one of the best dialogues/monologues I've ever read. I could hear Harry, too, and see Hermione as she read his words.

i love this story - that hermione sacrifices hogwarts for the other students, and that harry finally tells her. Wish ron would have punched percy though!

I came late into the fanfic reading stage. So, it's only now that I discovered this.
