Really liking this story, and your take on the characters. Keep it up.

Exactly what is Harry's point in this story other than the prophecy? Hermione is better than him at everything and apparently Harry is so dumb that he can barely put 2 sentences together. I realize that in canon he has average grades, but it never was because he was an idiot, he just never put forth any effort at all. I mean you've made him a complete dumbass here, to the point where it would make it difficult to believe that an H/Hr relationship would even be possible given the apparent immense intellectual divide.

That's not even mentioning that Harry appears completely average in this story. If you're trying to make this story realistic, it makes me wonder how you're going to handle the Harry/Voldemort confrontation in the end. I can't for the life of me see how you could make Harry beating Voldemort believable given Harry's average abilities and Voldemort's power and 50+ years of experience. Unless you plan on making Harry more studious or upping his power level, the only thing that I can imagine him doing when he finally faces Voldemort is dying.

Where is the followup on the currant cake?

Oh, and why does Harry want to be subject to the MoM again? Fudge is such a good boss and all. Sure he may be out, but still...

okay, wow! long very discriptive fic you've got going on here! really enjoyed reading this havn't stopped once i started so been staring at my screen for i don't know how many hours!! can't w8 for more!!

First of all, thank you for including Luna in this fic. Second of all, thank you for including LUNA in this fic, not just a girl named Luna that bears no resemblance to canon!Luna. Luna and Harry always had great little chats in the books; the talk between them in this chapter was wonderful. I adore Luna.

I really hope the different races will be able to come to some sort of conclusion soon, although it seems unlikely. It was rather fascinating to read about the different dynamics between the different species at least.

I'd rather hoped that Hermione would pursue a career in medicine - it seems like something she would be suited to. Neville's work placement sounds good for him too. I'm excited for them all! Now Ron just has to choose something...

And I realize now that there is no new chapter yet. Sob. Please update soon, your fic is absolutely fantastic! By far the best H/Hr fic I've ever read, and one of the best fics overall. Keep up the great writing

The work placement study sounds great - I'm eager to find out where Hermione and Ron will be going off to! I figured when it was first mentioned in the fic that Harry would try for Auror Headquarters

I'm so happy that Hagrid seems to have managed to get at least something started among the different magical races. This should be interesting...

The conversation between Harry and Hermione was perfect (I keep using that word, but it's true!). There was no real finesse in it at all - they both rambled and blurted out things...it was just so THEM. Harry DOESN'T know how to talk to girls, and Hermione ISN'T some sort of expert on relationships. To many authors write Harry and/or Hermione as these suave characters that throw out these witty or romantic one-liners, and that's just not THEM. You captured them perfectly.

"Do the Goblins think that the Centaurs will help us? Do the Werewolves expect the House-elves to? We've been going along thinking about how they're dealing with us, but how are they dealing with each other?"

As soon as Harry said that, I gasped. I feel rather ashamed like Hermione for not seeing it, but it's really quite obvious. Hurrah for Ron for pointing it out! I hope Hagrid is able to do something with this new, very valid, point.

OMG! LUNA AND THE HAT! RON HELPING THE HUFFLEPUFFS! THE WEASLEYS COMING FOR CHRISTMAS!

AND THE KISS!

Oh, it was perfect. No sudden declarations of "Ohmygod I love you so much" but confusion - they've been best friends for so long, it would be weird if they leapt into a relationship. You made it quick yet sweet, just the barest hint of their mutual attraction before the confusion set it. Perfect.

I literally squeal out loud every time Harry grabs Hermione's hand. So cute!

Oh my god, that fight between Harry and Ron was PRICELESS. Slap-fight! Ahahahahaha true brilliance.

And I'm glad that Harry remembered Dumbledore's "triumphant look" and that Hermione, Susan, and Luna jumped on it. Any weird looks Dumbledore gets are important and should be fully analyzed, haha.

Hufflepuff HAS always been viewed as the duffers' house. Not even JK Rowling really managed to save that view with Cedric. And here you've gone and made it the best House in Hogwarts. You managed to give it practically more depth even than Gryffindor. I love your description: "He looked around the shabby Common Room, the Room that wasn't cleaned by house elves, that had the picture of the traitor Bill Weasley over the mantle, and that only had students who ignored ridicule to choose to be there. He realised that he was probably standing in the best place in Hogwarts, in the heart of decency, and the embodiment of what he had to fight for against Voldemort." Very poignant.

I'm anxious to see what will happen now that Hermione's gotten everyone together...

Ah! Bill! Oh no, I'm scared of what will happen to him at Gringott's. He clearly doesn't think the odds are good...

It's really interesting to hear all the different sides of the story - what different groups of wizards and goblins and even centaurs think of one another, and the impending war. You've really taken everything into account with this fic, and I'm deeply impressed.

Good to know that Ron can occasionally keep his wits about him and see a situation for what it really is Haha, I adore Ron, really, I do, but sometimes he can be such an idiot. I'm glad the accident didn't escalate into anything more than a night in the hospital wing.

It will be interesting to see how the goblins react to the Daily Prophet article...

I am such a sap. I squee at all the little Harry/Hermione moments - they're just so perfect!

I actually kind of do like your explanation on why the Dementors don't affect Hermione. I was afraid you might make it out to be some OMGSUPERPOWERRRR and it made me cringe to think that. I actually prefer simple explanations over complex ones - they tend to be the most effective, mostly because they're easy to understand and there's no feeling of "That's too outrageous" or anything like that.

I have to admit that I pretty much expected Harry's answer, but I was a bit surprised that he ended up telling Neville about the prophecy. I appreciate his reasoning though - it would be hypocritical of him to be upset over people not telling him things and then keep some things secret himself.

Ah, I figured Harry and Hermione would have to bring up that unspoken thing again, and I had a feeling it would not be in a good way. I really hope Hermione will tell Harry soon - it's hurting both of them by keeping it a secret.

And I also hope we learn the contents of Harry's letter. I can guess as to what it said and what it's consequences will be, but I don't really trust what I think
