I usually don't comment this early in the fanfic but I see strong potential in that character Blaise. I can't tell whether he is going to be helpful to Harry (Which I doubt so far; but its fairly early to tell) or if he's going to be an enemy....or possibly the main antagonist in the fanfic. (He can become a real bastard, no doubt)
There's alot you can do with Blaise; and frankly I like them all.
Nice work so far; I'll be keeping an eye on this fanfic. |

I like it; when I read it I can actually see it happen, which is something every good fanfiction should inspire in a reader. It's also very well written, and I'm really looking forward to the next chapter-and Hermione meeting hunk Harry. Nice work with Zabini; he sounds interesting! |

Just kidding, not about having my attention because you do. But the whole superioe thing. Yeah, I know bad joke but... well, okay I have nothing.
Seriously though, Ithink your story has great potential. Your description of things is very thorough but you might want to be careful too much can be boring. I don't think you have problem with that though, I think the imagery in the begging of this chapter was great!
I really love the way you wrote Blaise. He's a jerk without being a complete A**. I can't wait to see what else your have to write. |

I like the the way this is going, it may be a little too early to say something like that as there are few hints to the actual plot yet (unless I missed them, I have been known to miss fairly obvious points). So far your characters are believable and well done. As for Blaise, I really like the way you have portrayed him, you can tell he is a slytherin but at least he isn't a dick about it.

Author Feedback: There's not *too* much plot going on in these two chapters, so don't feel terribly out of the loop or anything like that. I did slip in a few sneaky things, though I didn't expect anyone to catch them, so again, don't feel bad. Plot beginning to surface in chapter three, though it really begins to show through in chapter four. Hoping you can wait patiently until then. This is my first attempt at writing a fanfiction for *any* book, let alone Harry Potter, so I'm still trying to get a feel for the various characters I'll be using as well as other things. Thus, the first few chapters are all about characterization and set-up. I'd classify them all as one big prologue, almost.
Thanks for the review; totally glad everyone's loving Blaise. Everyone's description of my version of him seems to be along the same lines which is somewhat amusing, haha. Which is a good thing, mind you, for that's how I intended him to be. |
