That chapter was so sad! The last line showed some promise, but I felt so bad for harry to that point. Open your eyes, Hermione! *laugh* Great job!

Please tell me that someone is going to curse the ^$%@^$% out of the Grangers...I'm still rather fond of the idea of cursing them to divorce - a curse that will put one or both of them in pain if they stay together - but they'll be just fine if they simply break up...

They really need to inform her that they've already arranged for her to marry someone else. These are vile people, these Grangers. They only THINK that they love their daughter if they're going to threaten her.

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand Hermione's behavior. She's smarter than this...how can she think she is doing this for Harry and it's for the best? She's killing him....She's not a baby...she should have stood up to her parents. She is a very strong willed person and she wouldn't have stood for this. Is her behavior all becuase she didn't want her parents to take her out of school? At this point, I almost don't want to feel that that sorry for her.....decisions come with consequences....this situation she finds herself in is the consequence of letting her parents pretty much blackmail her. And, when you make a decision like this you don't realize how many people are affected. I hope her parents are happy now. I would love to see a point as to where she goes home for a holiday or something and they can witness first hand how miserable she is and have her finally stand up to them. I just figured her love for Harry meant more to her than that.....Don't get me wrong...I am not bashing your story in the least....I love this story...it's just sad to see her be manipulated this easily. Do her parents really think that she would be safer being broken up with Harry? She's a target anyway just because of her past friendship with him. It's a no win situation at this point. How could her parents be so uncaring and downright mean? I can't believe Hermione just went along with this so easily. Why didn't she fight her parents on somethin that was so important? I thought Hermione was stronger than that....doesn't Harry mean anything to her at all? Why does she keep saying it is for the best? How is them both being miserable for the best? Why can't she be honest with Harry about what happened? So, she traded her happiness so her parents wouldn't take her out of school? I still can't believe her parents could be so callous about their daughter's happiness. I feel so bad fo Harry. Hermione should have stood up for herself and her relationship with Harry. I can't believe they can control her so easily.

It's an interesting story.

Hermione needs to wake up someday to the fact that her parents don't actually love her the way she thinks that they do. The comment about Robert's triumphant glee in the previous chapter says a lot for how evil the man is. Since the only way she's going to be able to date Harry is if she breaks off with her family, and she won't do that because she loves them so much, then she'll end up having to find a boyfriend that her parents CAN deal with.

And that's when she discovers that her parents intend on her either dying a virgin, since no one will ever be good enough for their little girl, or she'll discover that they "just happen" to know a really nice boy - the son of one of their best friends - who happens to be single and good looking.

There's no way this story can work out with Hermione and her parents still on good speaking terms. Blackmail does not sit well with most people, and Hermione is the type who will eventually wake up and realize that that is precisely what her parents did to her - blackmail. And she'll explode. (Might be an epilogue years later with her parents kind of hoping to finally meet their grandchildren before those grandchildren go off to Hogwarts.)

that part some whatreminded me of part of the movie "Moulin Rouge" the part where she has to lie to the love of her life that she put on an act and that she doesn't really love him. You doing a great job, keep it up!

Hermione can keep the relationship a secret from her parents, until they get out of school then they can elop. or something like that. Or she could threaten her parents with something. like to hurt herself, and if they really love her then they wont do anything about her and harry or pulling her out of school. thats just a suggestiong though, your doing great and i doubt that you really need any help. keep up the great work.

That is so sad! Does Harry know what her parents said or did she just break up with him? (It wasn't really specified. ) If they are 17, they should be graduating this year so it will be interesting to see what they do.
