I really loved this story! I love the way that you portrayed Harry. I feel that someone in his situation could reasonably respond like that. I also enjoyed your Hermione. I felt that i could identify with her well; no regrets.

OH MY I loved this!

I love the idea that Harry is so completely messed up that he doesn't even realize what he's doing until it all comes crashing to a head. They really couldn't date as they were far beyond that trivial phase. Wonderful, just wonderful.

The angst was great. Harry is certainly not a light person.

Your portrayal of Harry is brilliant. I loved how he was completely oblivious to the fact that what he felt for Hermione was love. I thought it really fit the character.

Also loved his comments about being a selfish prick while rocking Hermione's world. That one really made me lol.

I have to break my tendency to forego leaving reviews to give you proper credit for this wonderful story. This story is one of two that top my all-time best Harry Potter fanfics list. I’ m a sucker for Harry/Hermione stories where Harry’s nonexistent nurturance in early life puts him into a position of not knowing how to deal with being in love. It’s a natural, realistic response for someone who’s had the kind of home life Harry did with the Dursleys. There are stories out there with that sort of emotionally handicapped Harry, and I’ve favorited my fair share of them, but yours is wonderfully unique in having that confused and baffled Harry’s POV for the vast majority of the story. You’ve done so well with Harry in this. You can really follow how he’d mistake love for the lusting, physical desire he feels toward Hermione. I was thrilled by the guilt Harry felt toward what he perceived as using Hermione when he didn’t understand it was that he needed her in a much more honorable, affectionate. I got so into this relationship dynamic that I never wanted it to end. And the Hermione POV juxtaposition worked brilliantly. It was not difficult to understand how each could see the same events in the two entirely different ways that they did. If this had been done third person, restricted to say Ron or just a narrator without the omniscient benefit of knowing Harry and Hermione’s inner thoughts, it WOULD read like your standard Harry/Hermione romance story. Outwardly, it was so simple, inside the characters heads, so contrary to appearances. Truly grandly done.

There were so many little things I loved about this story, but if I went over them all I’d just be reciting your fic to you, and you know very well what was in it Suffice it to say, I think this was masterfully crafted. A real pleasure to read over and over again.

Wow. This is quite good. Something completely different than anything I've read before. Well, the situations may be similar to other stories, but they way you write it is different. Hmm, am I making any sense? Anyway, this is great stuff. I like how you switch narratives. It's funny, it's sad, and it makes me shake my fist at Harry Potter the king of pricks in prickerville. Off to read the rest! Huzzah.

I really like this story. It's so.... REAL. I like the way you wrote it. Harry seemed so ready to break anytime and he was different from the others. Hermione was always there for him. I liked the idea that you wrote them to find comfort with each other. The simple holding hands or entwining of fingers afterwards was so special. What a wonderful story.

LOL That was a hilariously funny way of ending the story with Eliza's commentary on "large closets" *giggles madly*. I really enjoyed the story.

very realistic. i really like the more adult take on the harry potter life. sometimes the books seem childish at times which makes your fic very refreshing.

for some reason i liked the suicide attempt. it seemed to humanize harry. you get sick of him being a wonderboy sometimes in other fics. JKR does seem to stress that he is a normal boy.

the part where hermione was jumped by harry and she didn't refuse, i could imagine that happening. i think she would never refuse him for reasons told in you story.

excellent fic. brings the HP world down to earth. i enjoyed this immensely

Damn...that was......REAL!...seriously, its rare to see characters portrayed as real people...especially teens in horribly stressful situations, and your is truely unique, in that it took a dark, realistic subject, and kept is some what light hearted (aka the king of the pricks routine)...now it wasnt out of place, just a nice interspersal....all in all an awesome job, hope to see many great things from you!
