The "funny" thing about this story is ... I want to think of it as fluffy and nice, but my reactions are the opposite: there is an emotional and symbolic depth to it which seems to tease at you and makes you think that there is something just beyond the words written on the page.
And, when I try to think of this as deep and with hidden meanings, I get ambushed by the feeling that it was meant to be light and shallow -- that one must simply "accept" the story for what it is because deeper emotions are not called for.
In the end ... one realizes that this story ... "is."
Or, as the title goes, "I am."
This story ... is.
And for that, I am grateful.
And, if someone wants an explanation for what I am trying to say, please get in touch with Professor Trelawney at Hogwarts.
For me, this story simply ... "is."
