It was a very interesting chapter. I'm not a fan of Lord Of The Rings, and I know next to nothing about it, but your story explains things quite nicely.

I just have one question: why did you change the way the characters talk (you know what I mean)? For me, it would have been better if you had sticked to "modern" talk.

No offence meant.

I know that this is well after the story is finished, but I was watching my copy of Return of the King again today(actually I watched all three movies this weekend, the extended editions), and I was wondering if there was ever going to be a sequel?

I know Elessar's story basically ended at the end of the third, minus what can be gleaned from the appedicies, but I think Harry as king and returning glory to the white city would be wonderful.

I've read your story twice before, but it's just now that I'm noticing a few canonicity discrepancies. For one, you seem very fond of saying Gondor-Arnor. Arnor was a kingdom in the Northwest, near the Shire, which was invaded by the Witch-King of Angmar after Sauron's first defeat. It was gone by the time Sauron made his appearance as the Necromancer and then finally revealed himself. Also, judging from what I know about Durmstrang, it would make the most sense if it were located in what used to be Angmar (Perhaps the stronghold of Carn Dum, from which the Witch-King ruled his kingdom), and if Voldemort-Sauron is operating from Mordor, he would have literally had to march his army to the other side of Europe in order to attack Durmstrang from the East, which probably would have attracted some attention. However, it is a very good read, and the 3rd time through is as enjoyable as ever.

This is a neat story. I was reticent to read it initially because I have previously found that LotR/HP cross-overs tend to lead to a horrible destruction of both story lines. I am particularly attached to the Lord of the Rings as can be infered from my name.

However, I was pleasently surprised to find that the author of this tale has read not only LotR but has a firm grasp of First and Second Age histories as well. I'm glad I took the leap to read this tale.

My congradulations on a tale well told.

I just wanted to let you know thaqt it has been a little while since I have seen the movies and quite a long time since I have read the books, but I have to say that you have incorporated these 2 different stories together very well. I am very ompressed with your writing abilities and hope to be able to read more from you in the future. Keep up the great work.
