Your story is set in 1995. It would be Harry's 5th year and Harry would be 15 years old as of July 31st, 1995. Just as Harry had to be 11 before he received his letter and invitation to attend Hogwarts, Hermione also was 11 years old when she received her letter. Therefore, she was also 11 years old BEFORE she stepped on the Hogwarts Express in her first year. This means, Hermione will turn 16 on September 19, 1995--not 15. Please remember that Hermione and Ron are older than Harry, not younger. I know that I'm picky about this, but I'm tired of fanfic writers getting this wrong.

Well - those words by the master seem to be similar to the ones used by Bruce Lee's master in "Enter the Dragon"

Ok, I must agree - I hated your Hermione in the beginning, she just seemed so... against everything I believe Hermione stands for. Passion! But I see your point. And I'm soooo glad you resolved it in the end. I felt a bit lost in the middle chapter (4? I think), not sure where the story was heading. Anyways, turned out to be a great ending. Well done!

Great chapter! In regards to your statement about the summoning charm, no, you don't need to know in which direction it lay. If you recall, in GoF, Harry raised his wand in the air, not towards the Gryffindor tower. In fact, where the tent was located, he could not see the school at all. The arena was hidden behind a copse of trees, and Harry was looking at the Horntail when he summoned his broom. Just so you know
