LoL. The first kiss probably will be lousy - I wouldn't know I don't know - people read books to hide from reality so there needs to be a balance of reality and "magic".

I liked this very much and I loved that you have Hermione speak a little bit of French, for some reason I always picture her (with how smart she is) knowing a foreing language and I just see it as being French! lol Your story really hits home. My first kiss was terrible. Everybody always makes it out to be this wonderful thing you'll never ever forget and that there'll be fireworks and it'll be soooo romantic. Mine was on a bus full of kids watching me. And the thing only lasted less than half a second. So- you're story is very truthful... I honestly think that second kisses are waaaay better.

Yes, I think it's fabulous to have a lousy first kiss story! You keep reading all these passionate descriptions of first kisses, when they can sometimes be awkward. It's nice to read the other side of the coin, as it were.

Of course, let's not forget the canon description of Harry's first kiss... wet. I think that's a keeper there! I can wholly sympathize with that description.

That was absolutely priceless, and hey, guys can feel that way too. The first time I was kissed was terrible, because the woman who kissed me frankly didn't interest me, and all I wanted to do was get away from her. My second kiss, my first REAL kiss, was absolutley incredible and burned into my brain and I'll never forget it. Great story!
