I have goosebumps--that's how good this vignette was. Hermione's awkwardness and desperation is exactly right on, as is Harry's turmoil. An incredible piece.

This was sweet. As much as I hate to admit it, I feel like Harry's behaviour will be like this in HBP. Great story.

Whew! I'm glad there's actually a fic out there that does not immediately delve into the romantic feelings of Harry and Hermione. Ron was not hopelessly left out like a piece of parchment, and Harry and Hermione are not perfect. There's not a whole load of touching on both parties, but a right amount of Hermione's own inclination for affectionate gestures. Overall, nice.

I think that is a great story you could turn it into a longer one also you know

After reading "It's the Little Things," I was expecting something along the same vein ... light, warm and deeply touching ...

The only thing which is true about this is that it is "touching."

And yet, it is in this where talent shines through ... it can be seen in the very eloquence with which you have imbued Hermione's painful introspection about her best friend's troubles; in her realization and understanding that there is nothing much that she can do about it except to be there for him ...

It's rather difficult to say that this is "wonderful" because of all the angst and heartache ... and yet, it is that -- and more.

Excellent fic! But it's so sad so far! Excellent characterization - your Harry is so excellent and angry and ansty... very good work.

Oh, and that song by Evanescence is my absolute favorite song ever. I've been absolutely obsessed with that song since I first heard it.. always wanted to make a fic based on it, but could never think of anything good enough. Glad to see that you have.

I think it's great that I'm not the only one out there who likes their older stuff.
