8/29/07 - Just a note to let readers know why I no longer allow anonymous reviews. I just deleted an unsigned 1,000 word 'review' from my Elder Wand story because it was nothing more than a Heron diatribe extolling the perfection of all things Ginny and the complete lack of any redeeming features to the H/Hr ship. Bad enough that I'm supposed to be polite to post-DH newbies who pretend to be non-Herons while still making posts supporting their ships, I'll be d**ned if I let someone use one of my stories as a platform for his nonsense. In real life I'm a 49 year old male with a lifelong addiction to reading, primarily fantasy and sciencefiction, but occasionally foraying into other areas. As far back as I can remember I've thought about being an author, but aside from some truly abysmal high school attempts and the occasional bit of poetry, never went anywhere with it. Then I discovered the world of fan fiction, and especially Harry Potter fanfics. After reading tons of it, I was sold completely on the Harry/Hermione ship, which led me to portkey, and my first writing attempts. For now, fanfic is a way of honing my skills, while having fun with the characters we all love. The rest you know. Thanks for reading, Harry and Hermione forever!
