What can I say? I just love Harry and Hermione together. I also love Ron and Luna. I like Ginny with either Neville or Draco, since both seem to suit her in different ways. In all of my stories, I try to inject lots of romance, humor, and happy endings. Sometimes I add a bit of angst, but not too much, since JK pretty much took care of that for us.
I haven't even finished reading the last book, since my disappointment in it is still so big. Not that it's a badly written book. Some parts I have truly enjoyed. But ever since the death of Dumbledore in book six, I lost my enthusiasm for the series. People that shouldn't have died did, and people that were useless are still hanging around. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Deep down, I think JK wanted to have Harry and Hermione together. Time after time, you see glimpses of it, even in the last book. I often joke with my friend that she couldn't stand it and that's why Ron sees their 'figures' kiss when he is about to break the locket. Also, Harry tells Ron he "reckons" Hermione also loves him as a brother.
That left the door wide open for me. She didn't completely shut the door on them, and we are not "delusional" as many say. We simply know how to read between the lines. Thank God for fanfiction!!
