I'm 20 years old french canadian (from Quebec, Canada) history major. I plan to teach history at a college or high school level, but also would like to write. English is not my mother language, but I'm very devoted to writing with a proper grammar and spelling, both in french and english (the contraction of you are is not your! You're does not indicate property! - those are quite possibly my biggest pet peeves).
I learned english when I was 12 and soon began to write stories of all styles, before I discovered fanfictions. After writing a few, I turned to vidding and became somewhat known in the BtVS/Angel and even Charmed vidding community, making a lot of friends. I also role played a lot on boards and eventually, as my writing skills got increasingly better, was asked by a co-role player where she could find my Harry Potter fanfics. When I told her I had written none, she was shocked and eventually, the idea became more and more attractive until I started reading a lot of Harry Potter fanfictions and wanted to write some of my own. After reading the fifth book, I slowly but surely came up with the idea behind Candleburn and voilà!
I'm incredibly devoted to H/Hr to the point where I just don't care what happens in the book. I knew it would probably end up being Ron and Hermione because of very much out of character 'clues' (every single one of them seems forced, in my opinion), eventhough it's completely illogical when you consider the relationships and inner workings of the trio. Eventhough I would have loved for the pairing to be canon, I'm quite contempt with fanfictions, some of which are far superior to the books.
