I think you have Harry to a T, he's just so wonderfully in character. The way in which he reacted to the Hermione boggarts was both humorous, one of them anyway, and realistic. I thought his and Lupin's chat was quite funny, too! Especially Lupin's thoughts.
The Loony lovegood bit at the end was good, too. I liked Hermione and his interaction there as well. The way she said, "I did," without looking up from the paper, was very Hermione. I just loved something about that conversation.
And, do I see some Luna/Ron perhaps on the horizon? Yes, please!lol.
It was a nice chapter, but I am interested in what Harry is going to say to Ron and Hermione about his lesson with Dumbledore.

Awh That was quite sad at the end. Harry's longing and the way Hermione reacted, etc, etc. It was quite a simple piece but seemed to convey a whole lot more.
The desperation and almost hoplessness of the situation has set in, and I did love Dumbledore explaining everything. Quite a detailed little bit, that was!
I'm dying for some real H/Hr, so I'm hoping it's in the next chapter.
Sorry my review is so terribly short, but I don't have mucht to say for this chapter. It revealed a lot of new aspects for the story in regards to the Voldie fight and horcruxes, yes, but I don't have much to comment on :s Except that you explained it exceptionally well.
I've no critical comments either..

You are the second author in as many months to suggest that I might have gotten ahold of their notebooks. I'm an English major, it's my job to be observant [*shrugs*]. This was a good chapter, Harry and Hermione are moving a little further along. The snogging scene was excellent. Glad to see them take comfort in each other, and Hermione giving into her desire for Harry a bit.
I think I scared my flatmate to death laughing so hard during the boggart-sexy-Hermione scene. How right you are! Harry would probably freak out if that were to happen the next time they see each other... doesn't mean he wouldn't want to see that in the near future. And Lupin's reaction: priceless.
Very well done. Hopefully more progress is made. Especially with Luna and Ron. I love Luna, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of her in the story. As for the dark magic detection, excellent job. There has to be incantations and spells to figure out the presence of dark magic, unless you're Dumbledore who can just FEEL it. Harry should be able to I'd wager, at least the presence of a force in direct and violent contrast of his natural inclination to the Light (hence the power he has 'that the Dark Lord knows not', eh?) Keep it up, I eagerly await more. And, for my own sake, do you have other stories posted out there? I'd like to read more of your work.

Oohh, things get more complicated. Of course the boggart would change form with everything that's happened... and Malfoy always shows up sooner or later. Excellent work! And they finally kissed, and enjoyed it, and started figuring themselves out! Yay!

I always like seeing "Dumbledore the Portrait" giving advice to Harry - he always seems to gain a little perspective. Even if he doesn't tell Harry everything at once, he does seem to learn from his mistakes. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Another fabulous chapter! Is what Harry feels when he's kissing Hermione some kind of power or just his hormones? I have the feeling that it's something much more than just lust. Does Hermione feel the same power?

BTW, the evilness meter is quite happy with this chapter. It is going for an upgrade, though.

This was a good chapter in which we see our hero/heroine get closer to being a couple. Snogging isn't a couple but very close. Harry is right and they do need to discuss things. Harry's boggart changing was interesting. It adds a definite level of depth to his feelings. The second boggart was a little more confusing. Was it that she would entice him and then reject him? Lupin was good. He needs to vet ready to be the father figure of a teenage boy.
The only thing I didn't really like was the talk between Harry and Hermione before the kiss. The "how worried" comment to me was pushing a little and his next comment seemed too much as well. I could see Harry saying something more like "I'm scared too, but I will always be here for you and you wont have to be scared alone." I'm not an author so I probably shouldn't give too many suggestions, however, making it more of a statement and being more direct seems to fit with Harry in this story. I'm still enjoying this story and looking forward to the next chapter.

Also, I am a little confused as to the time line here, because (although I may be remembering it wrong) I thought Ron said once that he found Luna quite entertaining" If so why is he gone back to thinking she is weird now??

Otherwise, the last two chapters were awesome! I love H/HR fluff, but I hope the action gets going too. I would love to see....erm read a quidditch scene. Will they be playing quidditch this year??
